Travel and tell no one. Live a true love story and tell no one. Live happily and tell no one. People ruin beautiful things.

tips for maintaining mental stability when it feels too much
-> don't gaslight yourself into thinking that your feelings are too much. Don't blame yourself for wanting to recharge or distant yourself as well. Whatever you feel is valid. Realize that your emotions are temporary. It is important to feel them and not suppress them but emotions are something that comes and goes. You won't feel that way after some time
-> cut off sensitive topics. Stop checking on the news if it feels too much. Mute or unfollow those who post triggering content. Tell your friends and family members that you don't want to talk about certain topics. It's okay to distant yourself not only from the news but from people/topics you find toxic.
-> rely on safe content instead. Re-read your favorite book or re-watch a show that makes you feel better. Use messengers instead of socials to contact your close ones.
-> sleep. Sleep washes off emotions and can calm you down, and recharge you.
-> invest your time in a hobby. Shift your focus a little. Hobbies that involve physical and/or sensual activity work even better. These can be painting, knitting, gardening, dancing, or singing.
-> go outside. Walk your dog or jog a little. Make your body move and breathe fresh air. Connect with your surroundings, visit your local park or forest.
-> realize what you can do at the very moment to support yourself and your close ones. Do what you can do to prepare yourself for tomorrow, step-by-step.
Take care of yourself 💖🌍

self worth: part I 🧚🏻♂️
knowing your worth, having high self-esteem, being confident, whatever you want to call it, is important and impacts your well-being, mental health and life choices. we know this already. and it isn’t easy. but i want to talk about the causes of low self-esteem and exercises / tips on how to increase self-worth.
in this part i want to describe some basic concepts. in the next parts i'll talk more specifically about the actual self, ought self and ideal self.

Happy Tuesday. Today I managed to study a lot and exercise so I’m happy with my balanced day🤍
Academic wins can look like:
Getting an A on your test
Organizing a study group
Studying daily for an hour or two
Having perfect attendance
Getting that grant/scholarship
Getting ahead in all your classes
Academic wins can also look like:
Actually being able to focus in class for once
Getting enough sleep and food
Fighting through your depression and finishing a single assignment
Turning in a paper a little late
Taking a mental health day
Getting a C on a test you thought you failed
Academic wins are personal. They're different for everyone and depend on you, your goals, your mental and physical health, and your overall well-being. For someone working full time, getting that C and showing up to class once a week is a win and something they should be proud of! For someone who has everything financially covered and can devote plenty of time, getting the deans list should be something they rightfully should brag about! Achievements are Achievements regardless. Don't let anyone take your wins from you
// how i use notion for uni by @peachblossomstudy
i’ve been in lectures for 9 weeks now (eek!) and have pretty much entirely transitioned to planning using notion, so i thought i’d do a little overview of my current system. this will probably change at some point but at the moment it works very well for me.
uni hub
the uni hub is where the magic happens! my uni hub is where i keep track of everything school related. i have a gallery database with pages for each of my current modules, and underneath that a calendar view of all my assignments (more on those in a bit). i also have a sidebar with some important pages: my work experience tracker, my assignments tracker, and my packing list.
the modules database holds a page for each of my modules - on my hub page this is filtered by semester, so only shows my semester one modules at the moment. each module page is where i take my notes, keep my tutorial questions and write down any important module information.
under the modules database is a calendar view of my assignments database, which is pretty self-explanatory and a good way of visualising how much time i have until each assignment is due.
module pages
each of the individual module pages are where all information related to that module goes. they start with toggle to hold important information without cluttering up the page, and then have a view of my assignments database filtered for that particular module. i use lists to store my lecture notes and tutorial questions.
assignments database
one of my most important tools is my assignments database - this is where i keep track of all my assignments, both previous and still to do. the database contains the due date, module and type of assignment, with a checkbox to mark when the assignment has been completed.
planner
finally, there’s my weekly planner! this is where i keep track of all my daily tasks, ongoing tasks, deadlines and events. i’ve found that having a digital weekly planner is much more convenient for uni than a physical planner - setting it up requires much less of my time, and it’s always with me.
that’s all for this post! thank you for reading this far. and i hope this was helpful <3

study technique : blurting 🌷
Sometimes things that i’ve been memorising just doesn’t stick in. So, I’ll be sharing with you how I utilise the blurting method effectively to memorise things! The tips i’ll be sharing are like none i’ve ever seen before so def consider reading this!
Note: Blurting has many purposes, such as to understand material, but in this post, i’ll be covering specifically how I use it to memorise. Let me know if you’d like a post on other ways I use it!
Firstly, here’s the materials you’ll need:
Paper
Pens of at least two different colours
Highlighter
Post-it notes
⭐️[Now, here’s the steps] ⭐️
1. Divide
Write down the topics you want to cover on different sections on the paper
Divide the topics further into subtopics
The key to this step is to be specific!
This way, you’ll be able to tell exactly which parts you need to memorise further
Write these headings out with a thicker pen/ highlighter so you can refer to it easily
2. Blurt
Write down every thing you know
Squish your brain dry of every last once of knowledge there is 💪
3. Review
Write down everything that you missed with a pen of a different colour
Highlight important concept/ideas you want to reinforce
Using sticky notes, write down the topics you don’t know , but phrase it in the form of questions
eg. why are leaves broad in the tropical rainforest if you don’t know the adaptations of leaves in the tropical rainforest
4. Revise
Paste the sticky notes over the areas where you’ve written incorrect information or have written nothing
Answer those questions
Check the answers by lifting the sticky notes up
When you can answer everything, you can take the sticky notes off and revise the paper as it is
Easily check topics which you’ve gotten wrong before by reading the coloured answers
Easily check important concepts/ideas by reading highlighted parts
The end.
I hope this helped you! Feel free to ask for specific study tips! 🌸
P.s. would anyone be interested in seeing some self-help book breakdowns? I might do some when I get more followers because I want as many people as possible to benefit from my breakdowns.

White feminists always want to know how to not be racist. They want to be educated. Here is the beginning of that education. Use it.
February will be filled with positivity.
February will be filled with love.
February will be filled with trust.
February will be filled with kindness.
February will be filled with miracles.
February will be filled with hope.
February will be filled with new beginnings.
I mad agree with this.
This reminds me, if y'all haven’t heard of therapyforblackgirls.com please visit if you need a therapist. You can search by mental health need, location/distance, insurance, etc. I believe there are some that provide a sliding scale payment method for those without insurance.
If you’re not quite ready to make the jump, there is a podcast you can listen to as well as articles and links to help answer some of your questions about mental health and/or therapy.
The purpose, as I understand it, is to provide a place where black women can go to find culturally sensitive therapy. Some specialize in family/couples as well.
Take a look.
For any black Women following me!
Taking care of your mental health is another important factor in your overall health. Fighting for good mental health is a fight worth doing, and is just as difficult, if not moreso, than physical fighting.
