『AKIRA 』 (日・1988)

Akira is a feature-length animated film released on July 16, 1988, based on the manga of the same name by Katsuhiro Otomo. Tokyo Movie Shinsha handled the animation production, while Otomo himself, the original creator, served as director. It marked Otomo's first feature film and was produced with an unprecedented budget for Japanese animation at the time, gathering top-tier staff from across Japan.
