finished his face

Finished part 1 of RK900’s jacket. Wanted to post a close up cause the lower half is gonna get cropped

I always hit a point where I’m like, I don’t know if this is gonna work out.

#I look at other peoples stuff #and it's simpler #and far easier to produce #and they get to go through #a ton of ideas #and I spend weeks #if not months #looking at the same thing #and I start to wonder #if it's worth it to continue #if the effort will be worth it #in the end #then I think #I wonder how this is gonna turn out #and that's what pushes me to finish #what I started

Hello new followers.

Just wanted to pop in and say that as you can see, updates are super scares because these pieces take me an incredibly long time to do, especially with a day job.

But here’s the line art for the next piece. Gavin’s hair alone took me about a week or so. It’s probably one of the longest aspects of these but it’s the one I love doing because of the way it looks after. I love that soft textured look. The way his hair weaves around the fingers is just, the best.

TL;DR I’m envious of artists out there who produce work super quickly because I cannot.

Yay my first anon. Thank you! That’s kind of you to say and I appreciate you taking the time to message me.

I’m on the fence about this. I’d love it if more people saw my work but the attention that comes with it stops me from actively seeking out that kind of exposure. I don’t want building and maintaining an audience to ever be the motivator for why I create anything. So even if not a lot of people see the stuff I make, I’m just gonna appreciate the ones that do and I’m still gonna keep making them because I like making pretty things.
