“Do you think they’re going to come back? I mean..not that I want to scare you…nevermind.” She added quickly, brows scrunched as she crossed her legs and ran a finger over her brow. Things hadn’t been the same since Liv got kidnapped, everyone was on the edge especially since they haven’t heard from Nik or Syd in a while. “Did you talk to your boss already about your job? It hadn’t been the easiest thing to wrap her head around but she was coping through the support of the people around them. “It’s not rare for the curse to skip a generation or two, it was a possibility from the start.” Liam muttered quietly with a sigh. THey took these things too serious, felt like they failed someone for their children being born normal humans. As far as he noticed, both Dean and Luke were extraordinary humans, completely capable of hunting. It didn’t matter, only made it easier as they wouldn’t disrupt the balance for killing someone that wasn’t their target. THey didn’t have to live with the burden of being forced to kill. Some people would do anything to lead a normal life, own a house and have a family. THat wasn’t an option for Liam, didn’t want to risk forcing another human being into this life. As a lot of Hunters chose. Her parents must’ve been so proud of LIv,first born and Hunter. They often put their job above the happiness of their own family. 

Liam shit Liv a look that showed her he was in no mood for games right now. They had barely any time before one of her brothers, friends, came upstairs to check on her. Luke would love to get Liv back to their table for sure. Her…forwardness barely surprised him. SHe’s always been someone to grab a chance by the neck - quite literally. He stumled backwards, hands on her hips as he pulled her body flush against his. His lips hungrily on hers, teeth crashing against teeth as his quick fingers worked on her pants. THey didn’t have time to explore the others body, let alone any foreplay. They’d be in deep, deep shit if their families caught them right then. “Let’s make good use of them, then.” He muttered against her lips, voice hoarse as he felt the bed beind his legs. With his hands tightly grasping her hips, the older HUnter switched their position and lowered the petite woman down onto her own bed.

Something like this was more or less expected of Olivia. She was always a little too reckless and a little too forward. But the Liam Smoke she knew was an annoying 15 year old boy with braces who thought he was too cool for his kid cousin and his best friend- the 17 year old practicing asking a girl to prom in the mirror. The boy who made sure her mother knew about her kicking Luke in the head even though she had worked out a deal with the younger boy. She wasn’t sure if he had always been like this or if this was a part of the new ‘grown up’ Liam Smoke package. Whatever it was though, the only thing she’d complain about was the fact that there simply wasn’t enough time to really get into it. There was plenty more of this man she’d love to be able to see- touch- she could already feel the muscles under his shirt constrict against her body, But the small amount of time allotted to them wouldn’t allow for it at all. 

This was one of those few times where Olivia understood the appeal of skirts and dresses- all the saved time just slipping it up and slipping it in would have been perfect right now. As his hands grasped at her pants, Liv’s mimicked his movements- frantically struggling with the button, only stopping to close and lock the door behind them. Just in case. The scruff on his face rubbed harshly against her skin but she didn’t care. She wanted him bad enough that a little beard burn on her face didn’t matter in the slightest- the only person who would even notice wouldn’t say anything until later anyway. Liam taking control threw he off for a moment- she wasn’t used to someone manning up and taking the reins or putting forth an equal effort. But the moment was fleeting as she fell back into sync with him and bent to his will, letting him lay her down on her back. It was a little more intimate than what she was used to but again she didn’t find herself minding so much with Liam. Her hands gripped his face, pulling him towards her with a need to devour his lips once more. Her teeth scraped along his lower lip before she clamped down on it and lightly pulled back leaving a faint, pink mark “About three minutes” her words were broken as she pressed her soft lips against his rough jaw, alternating between kissing and playful nips “this is such a fucking tease”

He certainly wouldn’t go as far as saying he was settling down, but he was definitely going to stay here for a while. And he certainly didn’t miss the kick Luke gave liv under the table. Liam covered his mouth with his fist, hiding the quiet chuckle. “Oh I’m sure he did. You should see him during class. Pure joy.” If looks could kill, Liam would drop dead the second these words left his lips. Luke did anything but love his class. Tried his fair share of excuses to leave early as well but Liam would have none of it. He knew this kid since he was a baby, after all. “Nursing? I see. So your dream of becoming A bounty hunter on a different planet is on hiatus for now?” His eyes gleamed with mischief as he picked up a piece of his steak and chewed on the tender meat for a moment. And sure enough, his question about the callings definitely was a sore spot. Liam followed Liv quietly, rubbing a calloused hand over his neck with a sigh.

“Guess they haven’t had their callings yet then. Of course Nathan and George would be pissed about that. Goddamn hunter pride.” He muttered quietly. Of course he knew where the bathroom was, he had a better memory than that and surely his excuse wasn’t bought by the elder hunters. But this was more than just an excuse to get the hell off that table for a minute. His eyes flickered to the staircase once more, then lingered on Liv. A grin grazed his features as he took a step forward to place his hands on either side of her shoulders. Getting rid of whatever tension that was Between them would help them. Sure, not the best way to deal with it but he had no doubt that this was anything but sexual. Even Liam had known She had a crush on him back then. “Stop looking at me like that in front of your family.” Despite this, his hands tightened a little on her arms and his grin widened. “We got five minutes, maximum.”

Getting out of that awkward situation was more than welcomed. By the time the two would get back the conversation would have been changed and things would be back to normal- as normal as they could be at one of these ‘events’ that is “No- it’s kind of a sore subject. Especially for good ole Georgie-porgie. The ‘gift’ completely skipped a generation for the Gellars” There was a certain level of malice to her voice. It wasn’t a secret among them that George was far from pleasant to his son- the hunter curse skipping him only seemed to make that worse and anyone who was against Dean was not someone Olivia was too fond of. It tended to be the three of them against the world at times. And she preferred it that way. “Luke’s still got a year or so but- I doubt it’ll come for him. I got my call at thirteen after all” 

For whatever reason Liam stepping forward caught her off guard. Large, strong hands grasped her arms and for a split second her eyes darted to the stairs to make sure no one was following them. Not that they would have. "Looking at you like what? I think you’re reading too much into it, Smoke” her brow furrowed slightly, mocking confusion he would know was faked. Things had changed in their time apart. They had both grown up a lot and not just in the physical sense- that much was obvious. But teasing was still her favourite part of this game he decided they were playing. Not that she was complaining about it. Liam had truly grown into himself- and his ears. “Five minutes? That’s literally nothing” she knew, looking him up and down, that five minutes wasn’t going to be long enough at all but if it got her mind off it for now and helped them get through that dinner then she would be more than happy to give it a try. Stepping forward Olivia stood on the balls of her feet so she firmly press her lips against his. Her tongue gently ran along his bottom lip as she used the back of his neck to pull him down to her level so she could push him backwards towards her bedroom. A couple of young hunters with their enhanced endurance? Five minutes wasn’t even going to put a dent in whatever was building up.

Honestly, Liam felt horrible for staring at the girl he used to babysit like that. Sure, he was an adult now and so was Liv, but Jesus, he babysat her when she was younger. The source of his many, many tantrums when he was a teenager and supposed to look after these kids. Or demons, rather said. The other Prescott was shooting glares his way, obviously more than annoyed to see his coaches face at dinner. For whatever reason he hated Liam. It should be the latter shooting glares at him. Liam would chime in every now and then, comment about Hunter business and their latest callings. Didn’t really care too much. Ever so often, his eyes would wander off to the woman seated opposite him. Catching her eyes that lingered on him longer than appropriate. Only as she started piling up food on her plate did he snap out of him trance and followed her action. He wasn’t really hungry anymore, but this was a good excuse to focus on his food for now. “Hm?” The way she said her name left him speechless for a moment. When had everything changed so much? He could only hope that the tension between them would go unnoticed. Even by these two themselves. “There’s a moment in your life when you know you should stop something. And I was getting callings during my deployment, which made everything a lot harder. I sought an easier life, something to balance out. And discipline is what these hormonal kids need. Apparently the last coach didn’t push them enough, I aim to change that.” His eyes flickered to Luke for a second, a small grin on his face before he diverted his attention back to Liv. “Besides, it’s easier to handle this life with hunting. What about you, Liv? I heard you’re studying medicine now?”

Liam absentmindedly pierced a potato with his fork, took a small bite of it as he awaited her answer. His blue eyes stared into hers, trying to read her thoughts as to see if he was the only one going mad right now. “Have you been getting your calling yet? You two?” As Liam addressed Luke and Dean, the whole table seemed to tense up. Sore spot? He cleared his throat as someone, he wasn’t sure whether it was Nathan or George, pressed out a ‘no’. His eyes wandered in confusion, landed on Liv again before he lowered his napkin and pushed his chair back. “If you may excuse me, I need to use the bathroom. Liv? Would you mind showing me where it is again? It’s been almost ten years since I’ve been here last, after all.”

Olivia simply nodded as she looked to the youngest of the Prescott clan. Luke’s annoyed face spoke more words than he’d ever mumble at this table and she almost let out a snort of laughter thinking about how he’d be pacing around her room until the wee hours of the morning complaining about how stupid and lame Liam was. There were many times she was glad he couldn’t read minds or much of anything for that matter because he would hate what was going on in hers right now. “So, you’re settling down then? Lulu has been raving about how amazing of a teacher you are for weeks now” she commented idly, taking a sharp inhale of breath as the boys foot collided hard with her shin under the table and decided to move on from that topic “Not medicine- nursing. I don’t have the patience for eight years of post high school schooling” she nodded along. She didn’t question how he knew it- word traveled fast in Beacon Falls after all. Especially among the hunter families. It seemed like everyone knew everyone’s business whether they liked it or not. “But yeah. It’s alright. Switching to V-state next semester so I’m closer to home.

Liam’s question to the boys forced Olivia to quickly shove a little too much in her mouth. Neither of them had gotten their calling and while Luke still had a year or so for his- Dean was well out of the usual age range for that and it did not seem to be sitting well for the Gellars. Just one more thing for his father to hold over him. There was an awkward silence in the air for what felt like a lifetime before someone finally answered the question and Olivia’s gaze met his- giving the boy a sympathetic nod as she tried to force the food down her throat. Placing her fork and knife down, the brunette pushed herself away from the table “Yeah- it’s upstairs” she stated as she walked past him. Surely he remembered where the bathroom was, it wasn’t like the house had twenty different bedrooms after all and Liam wasn’t a stupid man. But she didn’t question it. She figured if anything he would be using the time to ask about the boys and their lack of calling or maybe hers who knew. Silently she lead him out of the dining room, waiting until they were out of earshot to speak “You’ve got some skills there Smoke- it’s like you honed in on the one thing we don’t talk about and brought it up in the first five minutes of dinner” she teased with her back to him as she walked up the staircase “they’ll all be over it by the time we get back- bathroom, first door on the right. But I’m pretty sure you knew that already”

His eyes shot to her annoyed mother for a second, his head shaken in amusement. Nope, despite the definite physical changes, two very obvious ones, her character never changed one bit. She was still the obnoxious, blunt girl she had always been. “I’ll take this as a compliment.” Liam commented, sleeves of his shirt rolled up as he buried his hands in the pockets of his jeans. She was a Prescott, being foul-mouthed was part of the deal. Or Luke just learned well from her. “You look…different, too. What comes after family dinner? Sacrifices on the graveyard?” He shot back at her, hands pulled out of his jeans to cross his arms over his chest. Despite the teasing, he had to admit this new look suited her. He wasn’t the biggest fan of these…kinda looks, didn’t care too much at the same time. But he didn’t doubt she could pull of any look.

Especially when you were a young man in your best years. Before he could say anything else, they were already summoned to the table and Liam placed his hand on her arm for a moment to walk past her. His eyes lingered on hers for a moment too long. He should probably get a grip on himself. Luke was his student now, he babysat these kids for gods sake. Clearing his throat, the young teacher sat down on one of the chairs and almost groaned out loud as Liv sat down opposite him. She had really grown up. Really, really well. There was nothing left of the scrawny girl with eyes too big for her face. The one that looked like she would break apart any second. what did he expect? Her to stay tiny and flat as a board ? Well, that definitely wasn’t the case anymore. And maybe his eyes did wander downwards a couple of times, which he could only hope was left unnoticed. Especially by her father.

Liam Smoke could take a joke. That was saying a lot since her teasing used to cause veins to pop in his neck and his face to turn a bright, tomato red. Then again when you got a young, hormonal Olivia and Dean in the same room she was sure Buddha himself would have tried to murder the two of them so there was no surprise there. And he could return the favour as well. it wasn’t the first time she had heard a joke like that but hearing it come from Liam in a more friendly way than normal was- different “Virgin sacrifices actually- Satan has a very specific taste in women it turns out. Prefers them fresh and untouched” Her mother- followed by an exceptionally annoyed looking Luke left the kitchen, calling for everyone to head towards the table for dinner. And when Mrs. Prescott said anything, you did it no if, ands, or butts. With raised eyebrows she nudged her head to the side implying that he should follow the crowd of people heading towards the table. 

Olivia’s eyes darted down to his warm hand as it rested on her arm before she let her bright blue orbs land on his. A lingering glance on both parties behalves didn’t go unnoticed by Olivia and the girl simply gave him a knowing smirk as he cleared his throat and walked to his seat at the large table. Initially she had been mildly annoyed that no one informed her that Liam would be joining them for dinner but for one reason or another, she didn’t find herself minding as much anymore. Before joining the rest of the family she found herself fussing a little with her hair- brushing out and stray strands and adjusting her bra ever so slightly. Between the two blonde boys she took her seat, making sure to scruff Luke’s hair as much as possible before turning to the man who was seated across from her- the group of adults already in deep conversation about boring things that none of the younger generation really cared about. She didn’t know how but he had doubled in size since she last saw him. He had never been scrawny in her memory but he was a lot bigger than he used to be. And the scruff really did wonders to his face. Made him look less like a spoiled rich kid and more like a hot real life human and she was sure the lingering gazes didn’t go unnoticed “So- Liam.” blue eyes darted away as the petite girl started piling her plate with food, hoping the usual distraction of stuffing her face would be enough to stop staring at the man but knowing it probably wouldn’t work as well as she wants it to “Last I heard you were off being badass in the army- now you’re teaching teenage boys how to handle balls? How the hell did that happen”

Why did he even need to attend this stupidity? He had other things to focus on, exams were coming up and he just started his job as coach and PE teacher at the local high school. Instead, he was supposed to join his uncle and aunt to a hunter family dinner. As much as he appreciated his family and other hunters - there was a significant lack of time for him to attend any of that. He still had so much to prepare for, yet he found himself in his car driving to the destined house they were supposed to hold that dinner at. Oh the joy. Everyone would be there. The prescotts, gellars - due to the family history the Prescotts and Andersons had, it was obvious they wouldn’t attend. Most of them had hunter kids as well, more of less. He knew about Olivia, one of the eldest of Prescotts, to be burdened with the curse. Her brother Luke seemed to be free of it and so was the Gellars son Dean. But things could’ve changed, he hadn’t seen these kids since they were …well, kids. Some get the calling later than others. The man stopped the car just outside the house, straightening the collar of his shirt. He was young, attractive and of good physique. Nowhere near as muscular as he would be almost ten years later though. Liam just reached the point where he stopped shaving every morning, picked up a new routine instead. Leaving a different chicks bed each morning. He was young, shouldn’t be to blame that he wanted to make use of their willingness.

With a sigh, liam pushed the door of his car open and slid the keys into his jeans as he made his way up the porch. Maybe the food would be good at least. And he hasn’t seen these people in forever. He was welcomed by his aunt, gotten a tight hug and was lead inside. His cousin had grown up quite a lot, quite literally. Dean had been through a growth spurt that left him towering over everyone. But Liam soon found out he was still as reckless as he always had been. He greeted the Prescotts briefly, the elder couple appreciating him with curt nods. They were proud hunters, but he knew they took great care of their family and their bonds. Not something you could take for granted these days. A blonde head popped out from the kitchen, seventeen year old Luke throwing a brief glance his way. Ever since Liam started to train the boy, he’s been met with annoyed glances and smug replies. Olivia wasn’t in his view yet, but surely he wouldn’t have been able to recognize her anyway. She was usually gone, studying medicine at a college a couple hours away. So when Liam came back from deployment, she wasn’t there anymore. He looked almost shocked as he caught a glance at the girl - woman- Olivia had transformed into. Puberty must’ve hit her like a truck. Or airplane. Her naturally blonde hair was black now, indescribable eyes surrounded by black make up. Her eyes didn’t fall on him immediately, instead a grin and insult thrown at Dean who replied it with a smirk matching hers. Earning him a smack on the head from his father and roll of the eyes concerning Olivia from her mother. Not much had changed. “Liv, nice to see you again. ”

It wasn’t too often the Prescott’s hosted fun hunter family events and Olivia wasn’t sure what triggered this one. But her mother had been busying herself since the early morning with cleaning and cooking and making sure every little thing was perfect as she did. Luckily for the ‘kids’ they had a tendency to get banished from anything mildly important due to instances in the past where their horsing around caused burnt food and shattered lamps among other things. So instead more or less  of the afternoon was spent with the three children sitting in Olivia’s bedroom that hadn’t changed at all since high school- reading comics, making fun of Luke’s stupid hair cut, and teasing each other about their current flavour of the week. None of them ever seemed to date decent human beings and they liked to keep the other constantly in the know of this fact and today was no different. Luckily this was a family only event so Dean’s current bimbo of a cum and go wasn’t invited. 

At the request- the term request being used lightly as it sounded more like a death threat- to come downstairs from her mother Dean and Luke left, leaving Liv to check up on her makeup and take her time joining the group in her usual fashion. Olivia thumped down the stairs only a couple minutes after her brother and best friend had, instantly going towards Dean and poking fun at him for one reason or the other. Most of the time when the two were together everything else seemed to fade away and it was just the two of them, being idiots and doing what they did best together. A roar of approving laughter escaped the girl as she watched Dean’s father’s hand collide with the back of the blond’s head, a loud and exaggerated groan coming from the boy as she gave him a triumphant ‘I win’ grin before turning to fave the unfamiliar voice that spoke to her. She’d be lying if she said Liam’s presence in her home did  shock her a little- she had heard from Luke’s not so favourable whining about him that he was the new coach and PE teacher at the high school but she didn’t expect him to show up in her kitchen. Her eyes traveled up and down his form, admiring his physique. He had always been attractive but the last time she saw him he was still a pimply teenager. Now- well the army had done him some good “Liam, nice to see you too” she spoke, letting her hands fold over her chest “You don’t look like an asshole who owns a yacht anymore” A glare and an annoyed clearing of the throat came from her mother and forced a grin to spread across the young girl’s face as once again her eyes were on Liam “Which I mean in the nicest way possible”
