Life Drawing

During the second part of the semester, we started to take part in life drawing classes to help us understand and complete the flour sack animation. Which at first was nerve racking, I expected that I would have do life drawing sometime during uni but I didn’t expect I was doing it in my first semester. I was nervous but most importantly excited.

In life drawing we particular focused on Gesture, while also learning the landmarks of the human body. (Can’t remember the names of these landmarks but I do know where they are). I felt that I learnt a lot and have drastically improved my artistic skills to not only draw fast, but well full of life.

Final Thoughts!!!

Overall I believe that my Final Bouncing Ball Animation and Bouncing Head Animation was a huge success, however this doesn’t mean its perfect and there’s so much more I could of done if given more time. Firstly, I wanted the bouncing head to be done in colour, however since I’m used to traditional media learning digital art has been new to me. I wasn’t able to use colours the way I’m used to in my watercolours, so thereby to start learning the basics of animation I focused on the tones. Another element I defiantly need to improve on is planning out my frames, as I kinda just went in and didn’t really think as much parts through as I could of. Therefore my aim for next time is to better plan out my sequences!!!!

p.s. I also hope I don’t do any avoidable mistakes with technology next time, we can hope!
