Mantra
Everyone’s pain is valid, you are not worth less than anyone else. You are not a waste of space, you can and are aloud to accept treatment and support. Don’t give up, you matter.

Another reminder to myself
Mental health is something that will always be something I’m passionate about, it will always be a part of my life. I need to learn to embrace that.
equality
about 2 months ago i received stitches from a doctor at urgent care for self inflicted cut, now the wounds are healed. previous to this specific incident i have been to get stitches one other time. they are now both healed, when i look down at my arm one scar is even and cleanly stitched, while the other is jagged. the cleanly stitched one came form a doctor that knew about self harm and they had compassion. the other doctor did not give me such grace, they were rude i did a sloppy job. once doctor took their time and comforted me as i was still in the period of crisis, the other was quick and didn't place enough stitches and they were uneven. when it came time to take out the new stitches half the cut was closed and the other was gaping and spontaneously bleeding. so now i am left with one “pretty” scar and the rest are all jagged and unsightly. this was all due to the fact that this one doctor was inexperienced and uneducated. i believe that this was because of the stigma over self harm. this doctor thought that because i inflicted this wound that i don’t deserve the same medical care as others. people who self injure should be able to get the same medical care as people who don’t. despite scars and marks and how the wound was created we should all be treated the same. we are all humans.
Live
Today is the only May 16th 2018 we will ever get, we will never have another today. So live life to the fullest, you don’t know what tomorrow will bring keep living to discover your tomorrow.
Bad days happen, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad life
Spread love not hate
If only everyone in the world could love each other, the world would be so different. It’s so easy for us to hate each other it just takes one look, one wrong word, one wrong anything to make someone hate you. Three similar words that can ruin someone’s life, “I hate you” they are so easy for us to say they just roll if your tongue. Yet it take forever for us to say I love you, those words are to sensitive, but they make some feel good, they make them feel loved. We need to spread love and kindness, Not hatred and judgment. The change starts with us, we have the power to change this. We have the power.
as the time has gone by and i have giving relationship advice to my friends and watched romantic comedies, i have continued to gain the confidence to personally use the label of asexual
Happy international women’s day to all lgbtq+ women out there. We are all different and we are all going through a different struggle. But I hope we one day see a year that things will be good to us. A day in which we will all finally be equal. But till then continue to fight on for that day. Fight for all sisters and bring us into a new and brighter day.
Can we please stop
Can we please stop acting like Aro and ace people don’t find people attractive? Especially AroAces? Like, just because we don’t wanna fuck and/or date someone doesn’t mean that we can’t see anyone as attractive. Like, it’s super annoying and kinda enforces the stupid “Aro/Ace and AroAces are robots who can’t feel” shit. For real, stop with that toxic idea
I’m Asexual
i was asked what my sexuality is at my intake appointment today, and i looked around and thought about it and i knew right away. but its not exactly that easy. you don’t have to tell someone if you don’t want to. i am still coming to terms with my sexuality, and just recently found a name for it and i’m trying to come to terms with it. i am asexual and i know that now, but if you don’t know and you’re questioning that is 100% okay too. you are loved no matter how you identify and what pronouns you use.
Here’s your friendly reminder to practice basic hygiene today
There are posts going around reminding people to take their meds or drink water and that’s important and wonderful. But many people (especially individuals with depression or other mental illnesses) struggle to find the energy/motivation to keep themselves clean, so i took it upon myself to write one about that. So..
- Did you shower within the last few days? If not, do so today. You might even find it calming and feel better after it.
- You don’t feel like showering today? That’s okay. Try cleaning yourself with a washcloth and water. It only takes a very short time and it’s less exhausting than a shower.
- Remember: A little is better than nothing. One step at a time. Who cares if other people do that more regularly or thoroughly? You’re busy surviving. Baby steps are still progress. Wash your hands. Brush your teeth. Do that one small action you can do.
- Even a little is too much today? That happens. Don’t be angry at yourself, don’t feel ashamed, You’re not gross or lazy. Set yourself a reminder to wash tomorrow, that’s a step in the right direction and it’ll only take a few seconds.
- You did it? I’m proud of you! Allow yourself to be proud, too. And even if you don’t feel proud at all - you took care of your body and you’re cleaner than before. Fuck yeah, you win.
I am learning to love my scars, summer is coming and I can’t feel self-conscious or hate myself for my past and what my body looks like. I’m trying to make changes, I am trying to be healthy and lose weight, and stay safe from self-harm. I owe it to myself to love my body, I’ve been so mean and hateful Towards it for years. I am afraid of being judged and people looking at me weird but I can’t let that stop me from doing what I love and experiencing society like everyone else. I don’t need other people telling me how to love my life and what to do with my body, I am in control of myself even though I can’t control what others think and say i can control me.
Hi, I know this is probably weird but I just wanted to thank you for being public about your recovery and having this blog. I've been slipping up a lot lately, but I found your blog and I figured if she can work on getting better so can I. I hope things are going well for you and continue to go well, and know that you always have a friend if you need someone to talk to about problems others might not understand. Have a good day! - Maddie
Thank you so much! This made my day, If you ever want to talk I’m here as well. I hope you have an amazing day
Shooting Stigma
There have been 18 school shootings in 2018 in America so far, and we’re not even 3 months into the year. On February 14th (valentines day) 2018 there was a mass school shooting and 17 were killed and many others injured. Shootings are a whole problem in itself but I want to talk about that stereotypes and stigma that comes with it.
There have been many negative statements made around mental health in the past but now with of the shootings/mass murders the assumptions are getting out of control. Statements like “most mass shooters have serious mental health problems” and “mentally disturbed” have been thrown around. When the fact of the matter is that it is more likely that the victims of crimes are mentally ill, than the persons that committed the crime.
With all of this stigma around mental illness it makes it harder for the individuals who live with mental illnesses to get support and help they need form professional and the community. This is a problem, because of this stigma people who think they have mental illnesses are scared to seek help, they are scared to talk about it. People who want to speak up about their internal thoughts and experiences can’t because of the fear they will get incarcerated or institutionalized, for speaking up, for wanting to help others. In an ideal world no one would be scared to speak about their struggles and experiences. No one would have to fear for their lives because they have an illness. No one would die because of what others think, wether it’s suicide or murder.
Yes, shootings are a big problem in our society, but maybe instead of arguing over what the problem is we could just try and fix it.

(this is a good article that I found helpful)
This is the Memorial to the Missing and contains over 50,000,000 pennies to represent the lives of each American child abandoned to abortion by a society and a culture that has embraced their destruction. We must prevent the need to add to this memorial. Take a stand. Get involved.
”How we treat the least of us defines us.”
“should I use this $500k to help struggling parents and pregnant people or should I put it in a glass box”
^ reblogged for the comment
“money that can be useful for victims of rape and abuse is sitting in a glass box to remind us how we care more about the ‘lives’ of unborn fetuses than the lives of homeless children”
The cognitive dissonance is stunning
We don’t care about people, we care about the idea of people.
Reblogging for all of the comments.
“I’d rather put pennies on display to show how little value I place on a life once out of the womb than put actual dollars towards better health care for the living.”
