Hey! First, I must say that since I started to read your books, I've really admired how you don't let heavier subjects in your work stop you from being witty. I must say, you might be the funniest writer I've ever read.

But I also really admire the fact that you don't let genre expectations or seemingly reader expectations stop you from creating a story you want to create. Is it hard for you to not cave under pressure? Or do you just not concern yourself with those kinds of things?

Also, how do you keep getting better? I assume it's years of writing; I was blown away reading Girl Dinner. Every sentence felt intentional. Kinda fangirling here.

Can't wait to read your future books :)

happy belated birthday Olivie!! First of all I love your books, as both an avid fiction reader and an aspiring author each time you release a book it's like a shot of dopamine is released into my brain (in a good way of course)

second, I have a few questions writing wise.

How do you deal with getting writer's block in the middle of writing a work in progress you're extremely passionate about? (if you've experienced that)

Similarly, how do you tend to deal with readers slump as a writer?

How to focus on one particular project whilst having a billion other ideas making their way into your mind.

Once again your books have been the dopamine rush I genuinely need to get through life, can't wait to house Dreamland and Clara & the devil as a part of my collection!!!

Ong I came on here to say how much I loved Clean and am in the process of reading Marked only to find out you're a big author?! I've heard your name just didn't think it wake you you. Anyway I don't know if you'll ever see this but Clean is amazing I loved it so much truly and my heart is aching for Theo and Draco in Marked. You also made me cry with Hermione's scene with her parents. Love your work.

Hi! I’ve been trying to think of a less weird message but I don’t have one so: I really like your take on cannibalism. I have surprisingly strong feelings about it, due to reading Anne Rice’s The Queen of the Damned at a formative age and, while it’s a popular idea these days, not a lot of people use it properly (in my obviously objectively correct opinion). You have to love your food! This is important!

Anyway I still read that last bit of Girl Dinner in absolute horror <3

As always, I am enraptured by the lovely women you create. I thought it was really interesting to have two newcomers to the sorority at very different stages in life. The different types of loneliness and connection.

I have run out of room on my Olivie Blake shelf so now I have to rearrange all my books. This is the best problem I have ever had.
