I took a test shoot doing a re-make of Judith Golden’s images, here is a preview of one. I bought some magazines and ripped them up so certain features were missing from the models’ faces. I had so much fun doing this shoot and would love to do something similar in the future. One thing I struggled with was keeping the focus on both my face and the magazine.

Attached are 3 of my 20 final images that went into my book titled ‘The Judith Golden Experience’ The black and white images are my favourite however i enjoyed placing both b&w and colour next to each other on each double page to make the coloured images stand out more. Over all I am pleased with how my book turned out but think the images could be improved by focusing the camera more.

After finding the artists I then took a test shoot and a normal shoot of my nan. I edited them all in black and white so I could print a final off and paint over it. My main themes are abstract portraiture. For my post card sized image I want to do a small portrait painting. The models I have used are both very close to my heart and I enjoyed experimenting with their faces using paint.
