Masters of the Fountain Pen - Harumi Tanaka (Hakase Fountain Pens)
Mr.Tanaka is a craftsman who uses potter's wheels for fountain pen production.
Great video that shows the work that goes into hand-turning a unique fountain pen - I like all of the detailed shots that show what goes into the threading and lathe work by pedal turning!
portuguese-language five-element adventure generator. you could easily run a dungeon world game using the inspiration from here (easy to run through goog translate and such if needed)

pilot custom heritage 912 with falcon nib. purchased locally from a buddy at UC Berkeley. bad handwriting mine; iroshizuku tsuki-yo on Midori watercolor paper.
FPGeeks review of this pen and nib. welcome to my new daily writer.
Okay! Running a hexcrawl or sandbox game is a lot of work, and you can use all the help you can get!
So I’ve been bouncing around the Internet, finding resources to help me out! Since I’m setting my hexcrawl in part of Golarion that’s fairly detailed, I didn’t keep many bookmarks about the really...
hexcrawls are pretty interesting from a historic standpoint as this was really the second mode of play that was introduced during the early days of D&D. taking the dungeon crawl outside meant that the encounters were very different. the Alexandrian goes into the epistemology and reasoning as to how hex crawls and wilderness survival spearheaded fetishization of mechanics as AD&D 1e came around.
while the above blog expounds on building hexcrawls for Pathfinder, there is also a fantastic and tantalizing article about an unnamed setting that Gary Gygax and Jeff Grubb had some high level notes on. paul from the blog of holding postulated smashing this idea together with the hex map of Outdoor Survival, and the results actually make a terrifyingly interesting amount of sense. read about it here.
also why would you even follow this tumblr

The spear of longinus, a part of an exhibition currently featured in the osaka museum of history. They’ve basically forged most of the blades used in the Evangelion series, from this thing down to tantos, swords etc, having master swordsmiths turn their craft to making real life blades from the evangelion universe.
It was pretty awesome, and I’m not even that informed on the actual series, I just like blades. The rest of the arsenal can be found here.
called the lance of longinus in the anime series "evangelion", the biblical spear of longinus was the implement used to deal the final blow to Jesus Christ during the Crucifixion. its helical nature ending in two long tines is mostly a result of creative license which more closely resemble a less familiar weapon of the middle ages several hundred years later (by biblical reckoning) - the ranseur.
Esterbrook J series fountain pen and ballpoint set from Peyton Street Pens which came in UK post for a friend. Esterbrook is considered to be a gateway collector's series since there are a lot of them and they are (comparatively) cheap. Many Esterbrooks are characterized by their swappable threaded nibs, called "Renew-Point" - this allows someone to have just one pen but many nibs for a variety of occasions.
The banding is a common characteristic of vintage pens - some have said that it is reminiscent of, or inspired by, the American metropolitan skylines. They look cool!
It is a lovely Sunday so I thought I should share my process of writing letters with you. I have many to write to but this one is for my good friend Michael W., who is a great penman himself.
First, a comfortable and clean working space is essential! I can’t abide writing on a cluttered...

Artwork with a Noodler's flex pen reminiscent of Franz Franzetta. Rest of the series not that nsfw but just in case click through to the source (via moonlightcreations)
