After the raven has had his say

“Justin looks back at Adam in shock, eyes wide and mouth hanging open, before he hurries away. Bitty laughs and chases after him. They look good together, in their bright clothing and easy smiles.

Yeah, Jack definitely has to meet them.”

This years @omgcpbigbang2021 has to be one of my favourites so far, with a plethora of awesome fic and art coming out over the past few days as well as in December. I definetly am incredibly happy about getting to make art for the author I worked with this time - @halfabreath. While the specific fic that this particular piece of art belongs to is not yet finished, I would highly recomend checking out the overall series it does belong to. After the raven has had his say has to be some of the most gorgeous fic ive ever read, and if you are at all a fan of either Jack, Rans, Bitty or Holster (and def if you’re a fan of all four) I would say this series is a must read. It’s got everything - great characterization, adorable cows, wholesome farmers market scenes, pop culture refs, and of course a whole lotta love.

Here’s my first piece for @bisexualnursey‘s nurseydex fic got the feeling you’re the right thing after all! I loved having the @omgcpbigbang2021 as an excuse to illustrate two beautiful scenes from Sam’s story (the second of which will be posted as the final chapter goes up). I hope you guys enjoy the story as much as I did!! 💗✨

“And putting 3,000 miles between us when we were still that new?” Dex shakes his head. “You were right. It wouldn’t have worked.”

“I got into schools in New York too,” Nursey reminds him, unsure why he’s bringing up all the reasons Dex was so hurt.

Dex shrugs, his thumb peeling at where the bottle label is coming off at the edges. “We just turned 23 and didn’t know what to do with our lives. I wasn’t about to ask you to stay for me.”

“…And I wasn’t about to ask you to move for me,” Nursey concedes.

Turning to Nursey, Dex smiles sadly. “Exactly.”

Two and a half years after he breaks up with Dex to go to grad school across the country, Nursey runs into him again when he returns to New York for the holidays. What starts as them just rekindling their friendship quickly turns into a whole other thing: a 100% no-strings-attached arrangement while they’re in the same city.

Which is totally chill because Nursey is definitely over Dex. He swears. He’s going back to California soon anyway.

Summary:

When Kent and Jack were racing toward the National Hockey SuperLeague, they made lies of the vampire-werewolf rivalry and crossed bonds with each other, sharing their emotions at will. But Jack’s fear of his wolf got the better of him, and Kent went to the draft alone in body and mind.

Years later, Kent starts receiving Jack's emotions again. Jack's happy at college, and Kent's glad to feel it. But when glimpses aren’t enough, he goes to visit, and finds a cheery blonde fae has Jack wrapped sinisterly around his finger. Though he knows he may lose Jack forever over it, Kent challenges Eric Bittle, binding them together until one stands victorious, with Jack the prize.

A vampire, a werewolf, and a fae walk into a lake house. There may be more than one bed, but there is also garlic, and iron, and fangs. And eventually, Kent starts to realize that he may be wrong about more than just Eric.

Being able to do magic in the small village of Madison has always been something that’s looked down on, but now that he’s been accepted into knight training at Fort Samwell, he might finally have the chance to be himself and grow into his magical ability. Can he survive the captain of the guard (and disgraced prince) Jack Zimmermann and overcome his fear of physical contact? Will he be able to open up to the other knights about his magic while keeping it a secret from his parents? Will love bloom in unexpected places? Will he end up sexting via carrier pigeon? This fic takes place during Whiskey's four years at Samwell and her NHL career. It's mostly canon-compliant and features canon-typical levels of homophobia, as well as discussion of transphobia, and worry about it, but no on-screen transphobia.

(That makes it sound worse than it really is, this is a happy fic, no tragic trans narratives in my house)
