I think she doesn’t mind being called “mom” because it’s just that harmless “she gives me life” concept, but “fuck me mom” is objectifying and rude. Using Halsey’s own words, “nothing a woman does justifies unwanted sexual attention” and the comments make her feel “like a giant slab of meat.” It’s not that she has a problem being called “mom” it’s that she has a problem with being over-sexualized and objectified by her own fans.
