Maximal maximize!
Silverbolt's bisexual awakening
The mech winced at the question, for just a moment he looked guilty before a deep, almost vibrating voice spoke. It was rough, as it had been a while since he spoke. "... mostly, all external panels...I was is stasis in... the water."
After a little while, he paused his own work, thick finger touching the human's back for attention. Depth Charge offered a blade to her, human sized but it would be even more effective.
Ouch. That definitely meant more than just a few, too, if the state of his leg alone was anything to go by. Still, she doesn't let that discourage her from the help she's offered. Charlie just nods, a small smile warming her expression as she does. It wasn't like she was in a hurry, thankfully. With the entire day off and nobody likely to come around thanks to the dangerous waters, they could sit around until sun down to get as much off as possible.
Her flow of motion is interrupted by the gentle prod to her back. Lashes bat, eyes flitting up to the mech and the blade offered out to her. Her smile is reignited, the rock set aside into the sand and exchanged for the offered blade.
❝ Thanks, ❞ she breathes. Now she can fully lean into the barnacle removal, careful about leaning too much of her weight into his plates. Charlie's going about twice as fast as she was before now, making her way along his ped with ease.
❝ So, ❞ she begins softly, breaking the silence that only the sound of crashing waves had filled. ❝ How long were you in stasis for?.. ❞
“A few local years,“ The mech rumbled, he did not seemed bothered by the use of the knife. If anything it was more like getting an itch relieved as he shifted his legs when safe to to get at another angle. He seemed quiet comfortable with her presence as well, as if this was not the first encounter with a human in the slightest.
One of his symbioets gave a squeak like chirp from the water line. It looked like a blue shark, only metallic and left behind by the waves. Unlike a real shark it was able to roll and get itself back into the water. Yet that would draw attention that there was two metallic sharks in the waves. In a bigger sandy tide pool was the remora drone basking in the warmer water closer to the human and mech. The big mech glanced over, the red optics seemed to show affection for a moment at the antics.
The big mech stands on land for the first time in a long while. He has to lean over and shake hard to help his frame drain and get the feel of gravity again.
Depth charge tries to peer behind him, then pulls one of his large pectoral fins around to look at it.
Yep. That's a lot of barnacle growth, and he was not going to be shedding the outermost layer of his armor soon.
Great...
Depth Charge moved to sit above the high tide markers. Scratching at what he could of the barnacles with his claws extended. He needed to find a human, or a non hostile mech...
"Th-eres....others?" Depth Charge asked, his voice far from smooth as it had been a long time since he talked. Definitely old damage to his throat before it tried to head. His shoulders and wing joints relaxed, the long tail almost touching the ground for a moment.
The mech glanced down, then lifted an arm to scratch off the thick growth of barnacles. He had been in stasis in the water and it showed.
He nodded. "Cheater!" "Rhino-" "-x-" "-air-" "-raxor-" "-optim-" "-us-" "-primal!" Bumblebee listed the four he had met in his broken radio speech. He noted the barnacle buildup on Depth Charge. "Anything I can do to help."
There was a long pause, as Depth Charge considering the names, knowing most. He gave a low rumbling sound.
He nodded, motioning to the big pectoral wing like fins. Depth Charge needed more then a little help. Whatever organic glue the barnacles used itched like no one's business. Though he had all ready cleaned off his drone and symbiotes fully.
Bumblebee extended the blade in his left wrist, using it to gently scrape away the barnacles. It was far from a glamorous task, but this new bot seemed nice enough and the young Autobot was happy to help others when they needed it.
He decided to remain quiet for the moment. Clearly this bot was used to talking and needed to rest his vocal processor. He understood complications with one's voice box all too well.
The aquatic mech gave a neutral rumble, not quite a growl. But once most of one wing was cleared he seemed to relax. Slowly getting into a kneeling position to focus on his legs, giving Bumblebee better access also starting to show some trust.
The ramora drone chipped at the new mech, staring with wide optics as it was set on the beach so not to be in the way.
Bumblebee finished the one wing, then moved into the other. He continued quietly working on the large Maximal's infestation. He'd let Depth Charge tell his story when he was ready, not before.
Seeing the ramora drone, he gave it a small wave before continuing his work.
The drone propped itself up on its fins, wiggling its tail in a greeting back before rolling over. The drone's actions were playful, proving it was very well cared for. Even if Depth Charge shifted to use a foot and fip the drone back into the tidepool, the drone trilling excitedly.
".....thank...you." the mech spoke once a lot of the itching was scrapped off.
"Anytime, pal." The yellow Autobot scraped the last of the barnacles off of Depth Charge's wing. He gave the drone another smile. He wasn't sure how alive it was, but he was still going to be polite regardless.
The drone was aware enough, but was not sparked. It was currently rolling in the sandy tidepool in mindless play time, as it was not needed. Depth Charge gave it an affectionate look, glancing over at the tide line where his two symbiotes.
The mech rolled his shoulders, the wing like fins flexing to test and then a wide red optics look over at Bumblebee. He gave a friendly chuff, liking the new mech so far.

The mech hums at her, pausing again to eye his own armor. The wing like pectoral fins on his back shifting before turning to face her. Head tilted for a moment before nodding. Dispite the odd faceplate he seemed revealed at the offer.
It was the least she could do for encroaching on the mech's part of the beach, right? It was mostly uninhabited due to the tides and the currant ( something Charlie used to her personal advantage when surfing now despite the fact that she really shouldn't ), and the only reason she stumbled on him was tucked under her arm. The surfboard is promptly lifted and shanked down into the sand so that her hands are free to help with the barnacle removal.
Charlie locates a reasonably flat rock nearby, picking it up and smoothing it over in her palm as she approaches the mech's leg. Sitting herself on a perch to semi-straddle a part of his ped, she gets to work. Her hands are deft and careful as she chips away at the barnacles. There wasn't a single misstrike, every movement taking away pieces of barnacle and avoiding the paint and surface of his plates.
❝ Are they.. just on the legs or all over? ❞ Charlie asks between little swings, lifting hazel hues to the mech's optics.

New random head cannon: if someone non hostile helps Depth Charge get rid of barnacles off his beast mode kibble.... He'll start to like you.
If he trusts someone smaller the mech is willing to listen armor to help clean inside as his frame can completely flood safely.

"Hey you GUUUYYYYYSSSS!!!" A distinctly piercing and loud radio clip suddenly blasted from behind the large Maximal. Standing behind him was a short yellow and grey Autobot with wide blue optics. He gave the larger bot a friendly wave.
The Maximal definitely tensed, his tail coiled before rising and turning. Staring over at the new comer, dispite needing another mech he had not expected to see one this soon!
Depth Charge's drones gave started meeps from in tide line and a tidepool. The mech himself gave an confused but not unfriendly chuff in greeting.
Bumblebee nodded. "Wait a second-" "-Are you a-" "-Max-" "-imal?" He asked, recalling how he met a few Maximals and saved the world with them.
The bigger mech considered, before shifting and letting one pectoral wing curl. He gave a low agreeing sound as there was a wide Maximal emblem on the wing. He finished the turn to pickup the closer little drone who was flopping excitedly in the tide pool, letting the rommora attach to his arm and came over to look at the mech.

@wagenstung has found the old guardian's beach!
Red optics spot the human, the mech pausing as he scraping barnacles off a leg, staring intently. He gives a low, but friendly chuff like sound for their attention, going back to scraping.
Charlie's first thought was that it was a good thing this side of the beach wasn't all that frequented. She might've already been acquainted with the prospect of.. giant robot aliens, but the rest of the world? Not so much.
Her eyes are drawn to the scraping, and when the mech doesn't immediately shoo her off, Charlie sucks in a breath and gestures with one of her hands.
❝ You, uh.. -Would you like a hand? ❞
The mech hums at her, pausing again to eye his own armor. The wing like pectoral fins on his back shifting before turning to face her. Head tilted for a moment before nodding. Dispite the odd faceplate he seemed revealed at the offer.
