Nada is pleased to present Kindohm - Mesabi Range. Our 22nd release is a collaboration with fellow Minnesotan Mike Hodnick aka Kindohm, where algorithmic funk meets crisp ice cold synthesis and elastic timings. Mesabi Range is perhaps Hodnick’s most hard-hitting release to date with the disorienting hyper-abstract geometries of IDM and footwork being obvious departure points. A common motif are the lush textures and club-over-the-head rhythm of tracks like opener “a-code.” Elsewhere, the mutated jungle of “d-code” and “b-code” exhibit corkscrew-like percussion patterns contrasting with the melodic landscapes of “dubious triangle.” All music was composed and produced with the TidalCycles coding environment using samples and live synthesis over MIDI. The samples and code files are included in this release for you to explore and use. For more information about TidalCycles, visit tidalcycles.org. Available as: USB Card. Includes album tracks, live recordings, and all samples and code files used to create the album. Digital download via Bandcamp (album only).

Keroaän - Pulsars in Rhombus Form (nada21) Pulsars in Rhombus Form is the result of a real-time generative music agent utilizing machine listening and pulsar synthesis (Roads). For this recording, a custom built 8-voice pulsar synthesis engine takes its compositional cues by listening to the album Planisphærium by sci-fi technical death metal band Wormed (ES). The program performs with no human intervention whatsoever.

Six Combines – an intermedia work by Michael Masaru Flora and Christian Langheinrich that investigates the relationship between sound, physical objects and the spaces they occupy. The piece employs sculptural assemblage, performance, and sound synthesis; encouraging an examination of their points of contact.

Archer Suite 2 Chicago IL 60608 Michael Flora Michael Flora is a Minneapolis based sound artist. His interest is in the exploration of sound via research and artistic practice. Through performance, installation, and recording he creates pieces that examine sonic morphology, spatialization, and human perception. http://michaelmasaruflora.com eXU-9 personnel: norman w long, electronics, synths, field recordings http://exu-9.bandcamp.com/album/winter-lightning http://normanwlong.bandcamp.com/album/for-hyde-park https://soundcloud.com/normanlong Soliday, Satrom, & Zalek Jon Satrom and Jason Soliday have been collaborating for over a decade under various guises, including: I♥PRESETS, Magic Missile, Faulty Majick, XTAL FSCK and Soliday & Satrom. Their audio, video and new media work stems from a profound distrust of audio, video and new media. XTAL FSCK floods the uncanny valley with sonic magniloquence, optical splinters, and extremely articulate gibbering. https://soundcloud.com/xtal-fsck https://vimeo.com/user10416121 http://xtal-fsck.tumblr.com/ Sara Zalek creates experiences through sound and movement to inspire an inner reflection. With whimsical charm and a fascination with the process of negotiating an urban environment with a deep longing for her nonhuman self, she swims in the space between knowing and not knowing, between her inner world and the world outside. Her process of creating aims to open an audience to their sense of listening and compassion, with the aim of transforming our perspective. // www.saratonin.com
