trust ain’t earned easily | seungwoo & eun

He had needed money, and doing hits was the only thing that he knew he could count on as far as methods go to ‘get money fast’. It was the only way he could sustain himself, so when he heard the Prodigal Sons were recruiting, he jumped at the chance to join their ranks. The training process was arduous enough, even though he didn’t need to be taught nearly as much as the other rookies- not that some of them were that eager to learn anything and instead enjoyed taunting him for being too ‘old’ to work under Eun and that there was no way a traitor like him would last long at all. But as it turned out, Eun seemed to believe in second chances.
His eyes scanned Eun’s face, as if trying to read the younger boy’s thoughts and what sort of conclusion he was coming to with all of this information. Seungwoo had certainly come to his. He exhaled, cigarette smoke rising and lingering around his face, eyes fluttering shut as he mulled over what Eun had told him. He opened his eyes again to meet Eun’s gaze, dropping the cigarette to put it out with his shoe. “We should strike while the irons hot. He’s probably an undercover cop. We might be wrong, but .. even if we are, and it turns out he is a competitor, that’s no skin off our backs. Either way, he’s a threat, but a threat we can take care of,” he mutters, worrying his bottom lip between his teeth.
“Where does he usually frequent? I can take him out,” he offers, hoping he wasn’t biting off more than he could chew. Who knows- it might go easier if it really was a cop and not another gangster. “Unless you had other plans for him.”
Perhaps it was for the best that the other happened upon him when he did. While there was still a ways to go, he had few others to count on. Rookies were all well and good, trained members were better, but experienced members were the best. Particularly those who’d seen gang life before, even for just an instant. They understood the ins and outs, what needed to be done; the line between vulnerability and knowing when to just let it go. Values and qualities that couldn’t be learnt, but Eun could see in the other. One of the reasons he’d initially given the second chance in the first place, it didn’t hurt to have someone understand you without giving you the side eye for being a little more merciful than others, or a little more cruel than the rest.
He was mulling over ideas in his head, many coming to mind though some being pushed to the side given circumstance. Holding the butt between his lips, allowing the smoke to snake around his mouth and flee with each breath, the male took his phone from his pocket to map the time. “Either way, whether he’s a cop or some other gang’s scum, I’d rather not risk it. In fact, it could prove to be useful to us,” the Leader started, pocketing his phone and turning to check on their latest client. “I want him injured to the point of immobility, render him unconscious while you’re at it. I think it’d be worth looking at what he’s got on him, and checking him for answers. The last thing we need are the cops stalking our every move.”
“He hangs around here a lot, from what the others have said. But, during our little meeting, he did mention meeting him at Haeundae Beach after nightfall. Again, seems a little off to me.” Eun shrugged as he offered the briefest of smiles to the Assassin, a curt nod of the head following. “If you have any other ideas, I’d be keen to know.”
