{ Mrs. Kozmotis }
She crossed her arms, giving Ace a narrow-eyed look.
âJust what is the reason you want to talk to my husband?â She demanded. âAside from âwanting to meet himâ for whatever reason.â
â... okay, other than wanting to meet with him i need a bit of  help. since i was stuck on that planet and replaced, technically  being alive is the same as retirement. i never signed up for  something like that. to them, i am done for. old news. it really  pissed me off; believed to be dead, but now forced into  retirement. what the hell? so, the only way to get back into  the ranks, be whatever rank it may be, is to speak with him.â
{ Long Hair }
well i do have to agree with you on that. this school really is a waste of time. you need to be pretty devoted to come here.â knowing the position she was in, she probably wasnât even going to be alive when these skills would come in handy.
âas for the missing students..the most recent disappearance was this past weekend. but i honestly donât think the schoolâs haunted.â she gave a small laugh at that thought.
âi knew my parents werenât the brightest but really? sending me to  a school with three missing children? bet you that they thought the  school sucked and just... ran away. either that or maybe they were  taken by aliens? canât leave a trace if youâre up in space. too bad  though, my last school me and another- â her sister, â scared the  literal shit out of a few students based on a ghost story.â
â... hm, i could sneak out on my own. in case i get caught. we then  could get a burger next time you are feeling bored. i have no  trouble with getting in it.â

Guardians of Childhood Jack Frost
ISBN: 978-1442430433 Released Date: October 27, 2015 Publisher: Â Atheneum Books for Young Readers Pages: 48 Author: William Joyce
Discover how Jack Frost keeps the hearts of children happy in the third picture book in Academy Award winner William Joyceâs New York Times bestselling and âdazzlingly inventiveâ (Publishers Weekly) The Guardians of Childhood series. Before Jack Frost was Jack Frost, he was Nightlight, the most trusted and valiant companion of Mim, the Man in the Moon. But when Pitch destroys Mimâs world, he nearly destroys Nightlight too, sending him plunging to Earth where, like Peter Pan, he is destined to remain forever a boy, frozen in time. And while Nightlight has fun sailing icy winds and surfing clouds, he is also lonely without his friend Mim. To keep the cold in his heart from taking over, he spreads it to the landscapes around him and earns a new name: Jack Overland Frost. But a true friend always comes through, and on one particularly bleak night, Mim shines down and shows Jack a group of children in great peril. Through helping them, Jack finds the warmth heâs been yearning for, and realizes bringing joy to others can melt his own chill. It is this realizationâthat there will always be children who need moments of bravery, who need rosy cheeks, who need to build snowmen, and who are then eager for a spring dayâthat makes Jack realize why he is a forever boy, and worthy of becoming a Guardian of Childhood.

âClicking sounds huh?â Jack turned to look back at the rabbit hole. He tried making some clicking sounds, though he failed a couple of times before he finally got it wrong. Jack was about to do it again when he paused. âSorry to hear that about your parents. Though adults, their not that great. Like to nag all the time. So ya not really missing much.â His tone was that of playfulness, his own way of trying to comfort her. âYa grew up where? In a palace?â
Jack wasnât sure if that was the word she was about to say. Though he decided to allow her to confirm it or not before he commented.
He watched as she leaned in and made some clicking sounds that turned out sounding better then his failed attempts. Jack heard something move in the rabbit hole and couldnât help but grin. He started to make clicking sounds as well, still dangling the carrot in front of the hole.
â i see. i donât mind it though. ah, yes though. i did grow up in the  palace as a servant. i did enjoy it as the queen did grow up along  with me. i was mainly a maid in waiting. â
she could hear another pair of shuffling; getting closer maybe? she decided to mention it, only because she had already said it; it was to mainly be safe. people close to those who were rich could be seen as targets.Â
âwhat do you do around here? is there much to do or nothing at  all? itâs easier when you are constantly working but since i donât  work anymore i am trying to spend more of my time on anything  of interest.â
something soft was almost seen from the hole.

              â  - hello. gotten a bit lost?               I admit - Iâve gotten turned around in this place                              plenty of times, myself.  â Â
shit. she was caught. for someone with foresight, she  surely didnât see that coming. play it cool. play it cool.   underage gambling isnât illegal unless caught.
âha, you got me! totally lost. i was just looking for my...dog.â
{ Long Hair }
âwell arenât you the rebellious type.â she herself could be rebellious if she wanted to. like sneaking out past curfew to talk with mr.makishima or smuggling drugs into the academy.Â
âalthough i hope you know its hard to sneak out of school grounds. the schoolâs system always keeps track on who leaves and when.â she paused. âitâs gotten quite strict due to the fact that a few students have gone missing~â
ânot rebellious, i just donât feel that i owe them my time. they donât own  me and they arenât the boss of me; heck, they arenât even my parents.  the parents pay for the school, not me. if i wanted to learn i could go to  a library and read books for free. they are tracking by cameras, you just  need to know the blind- wait, three gone missing? Bro, is this place...  haunted?â
her and her sister knew how to avoid street scanners and did pretty well avoiding being scanned for the most part. when your parents are never even aware you left the house or that you use foresight to know when you could be scanned, it comes in handy. it wasnât the first time she had been caught as while she can know when she is spotted by cameras or people, she wouldnât know if they eventually figure it out.Â
{ Long Hair }
ah fresh blood, as rikako puts it.Â
she was told to show one of the new students around. to be honest, rikako wasnât thrilled about it. she would rather be doing something she enjoying. like painting or reading something utterly gruesome.Â
walking down the hallway, she spotted the girl she was told to show around, with the principal. âah you must be our new student. my name is rikako oryo. i hope we can get along~â she said with a smile. it was fake, but rather convincing. convincing enough to hide who she truly was inside.
the girl, to be honest, seemed like a goody-two shoes towards the adults. not that it bothered her, but she had no problem saying things in front of others; or when she knew that she couldnât get in trouble for it. her foresight gave her a chance to know what to say for the most part. she couldnât predict if it was a bad idea the next day. the other was pretty cute... for a girl.
âwhazzap rikako, nameâs Dawn, and-  yeah, i donât see why we couldnât  get along.â
she used her sisterâs name; old habits die hard. the place looked like a dump; a clean one. way to clean. could she eat off the floors? though the moment she was alone with the girl, she glanced around suspiciously.
â want to ditch and go grab a burger? â
{ ??? }
âWish I had that kind of knowledge⊠But, no. I really donât enjoy it that much, being made up of so much of it. It gets very harsh for people around me.âÂ
â then there is no need to worry, as we contradict  in temperatures. we may be opposites, but our  extreme bodies can null the other. as for the  knowledge... it can be sometimes good to not  know everything, less others only come to  know.â

it annoyed her, for a bunch of almost mentally deadbeat parents  they sure caught on quick; or finally caught on. with their sudden need to teach them how to act like proper kids, somehow got the school to accept them. what sucked worse was that they knew that they were twins so messing with peopleâs heads was only half the fun.
her and her sister were to be shown around, but knowing how mischievous they got had them shown separately. by the look of it, she was going to hate it. one word to describe under her breath.
â Boring... â

Current date was **/**/***;10:32 p.m. He wasnât supposed to be seen, but he suppose it could be worse. It could be his parents. his mother maybe. Not that she knew he was alive. His father would be upset if he discovered his little escape. Much to his boredom and interest he found a maid of the manor; one of them at least. The surprise she must be feeling to know he exist around the halls.
âI want to play a game.â
her breath hitched only slightly, nervous at the strange young boy looking up at her. she wasnât excepting this. when she was working there, never had the owner mentioned about having a son. the fact that the child said about playing a game made her confused and curious. if he truly did live there, she must obey, no?
â... w-what kind of game? â
benevolcnt liked your post: omniscient-winter: like for a s t a r ...
boredom struck the young girl, ditching her home and separating from her sister for a bit; though, the twins did not spend around each other too much unless they needed to. Mainly they enjoyed the idea of pretending to be one person, just to mess with them and watch them find out that there were two of them.
she needed someone to scam, to trick. make money, candy, or anything off of them. or someone to hang out with, and she did not want to risk being seen with her twin, or it wouldnât be fun.
âborrrring.~â
{ Mrs. Kozmotis }
The Lady gave her an unreadable look at that.
âThat would depend on who exactly you have been speaking with,â she said, her tone having dropped ever so slightly in its temperature. âThere are plenty of people who disagree with my husband, albeit for different reasons. He has his own reasons for some of his actions, however. But then, donât we all?â Her upper lip curved in a sneer.
âEspecially in order to please the nobility?â
she ignored the sneer; there was a difference between views and orders. the military talked, everyone talked. if they didnât talk then nothing suspicious would be discovered. if they didnât talk then no one could know who was worth it and who wasnât. better to be talked bad about then not talked at all; there was an under-meaning to it. they spoke bad about her before; cold and cruel. a true dog to her âsuperiorsâ. if ordered to bark she would without need of her dignity.
âwell, that is why you have to be at the top of the food chain for  the military. words donât get through unless in a position of  power. if you donât like how things are done you gain what you  need to change it yourself. his reasons and actions are allowed  because of his position, including my mine when i had a position.â
she smiled to herself again, holding two fingers together like a gun and aiming it at a wall next to the other woman; close to her own face as it actually aiming.
âthe Army isnât supposed to have complete decisions over everything.  we take orders, and pull the trigger without thought. trained to see  the worst in everything. ironed our mind so when it comes to make a  life or death decision we donât get weak legs. pleasing the nobility?  probably. politics determine our odds; they make our friends and they  make our allies. how the nobles see everything is something we have  no control over.â
â heh, i heard that they claim you as a king? for a bunch  of vermin? i eat those things for breakfast back as when  i was a low ranked maggot. â

She raised a brow, but simply nodded.Â
âWonât you sit down?â She asked, while she went to get the requested water. âLike I said, it will be a while yet before my husband comes home. On the subject of surprises, I can sympathize. My husband will tell you, that he has always been a hard worker, but he never fully expected to make it to the rank of High General.â
â why thank you. hmph, i remember when i first joined the Golden  Army. i intentionally shaved my head and pierced my tongue to  prove that i was no coward. secretly i was afraid that they only  would take hardcore and dedicated people into it. though it was  safe to say that wasnât the case. slightly disappointed in terms of  expectations, but i didnât complain. then they made me grow out  my hair and made it a rule of uniform for females not to shave it  completely. â
she takes a seat in a proper military fashion.
â i would be lying if i said that i wasnât secretly jealous of your  husband. however, i heard he was doing a good job, even if  i disagreed with some of his views that were brought up to  me by the others. â
