hey y’all!! there weren’t any blogs specifically about omnisexual culture so i decided to make one (omniromantics and other omni folks are welcome here too)!! what is omnisexual? to me it means i am attracted to every gender, but i'm not exactly gender-blind. i still take notice of gender and it can play a role in attraction, but at the same time i like all genders! the term can mean different things for everyone so just be mindful of that. this is inspired by all the other “___ culture is” blogs out there. here’s a link to a master list of them (i'm not sure if it has been updated recently though):

just the usual, start with "omnisexual culture is" or some variant of that (unless you have a question, comment or want to tell me about a trigger) and be nice. if you think it may be applicable at all, please use tone tags to help neurodivergent folks understand tone better! i'm not going to put any here because then this post will be longer than it already is but just look up tone tags and see if anything is applicable.

omni culture is wanting to be omnisexual, but people either don't know about ur label, say it's "basically bi/pan but (something that makes it *different* than bi/pan)" or just not be considered, so you force yourself to take on the role of bi/pan

im omni, as in i love all genders w/o considering their gender(s) . i just go off based on people's style & stuff & i've always love our flag

Questioning omnisexual (and omniromantic) culture is wondering if you can still be omni even if you have very, very specific preferences and switch between them a lot. For context, I'm also demisexual and attracted to all genders but have strong preferences for feminine men/masc -presenting folks and masculine women/female-presenting folks...but I also switch between actually liking said women and only liking them in theory at times, too.

I hope this is okay for me to talk/ask about, but I'm unsure about whether I'm pan or omni. I'm attracted to all genders, but I prefer pretty much any other gender over men. I still consider myself attracted to men and I would date one, but I'm only attracted to them if I'm attracted to their personality. Also gender can play a part in if I'm attracted to someone, but really only if it's a man. I'm pretty sure omnisexual probably fits how I feel more, but I've been thinking I was pansexual for years and I feel way more comfortable with the label, but I don't want to use it if I'm using it wrong. I'm so sorry if none of this really made much sense, you can ignore this if you want /gen

If you're more comfortable being labeled as pan, by all means, use it! If you want nuances to define what labels you use, that's fine, but if you don't then that's cool too. You can just use a word that you feel fits you the best :)

Does you can consider yourself ominisexual/omniromantic and find eveyone pretty (more in a aesthetic and platonic way), but just want to have a relationship or sexual experience with one specific gender?

Sure! Omnisexual/omniromantic means that your attraction to different genders varies, which is pretty much what you're describing. If you want to call yourself omni, go for it!

Hi admin! How long have you known you were omni? I figured it out this year :)

Congrats! I found the word omnisexual around 3 years ago and started identifying with it. I'd been using pansexual to describe my sexuality for around 6 months prior to using omni and I still mainly tell people I'm pan when asked about my sexuality, but omni also happens to describe me!

omni culture is questioning/used to question whether you're actually multisexual or not because being attracted to different genders can feel so different. For some its OOOH HEART RACE TINGLY and others are more like wow youre so nice and lovely i want to give u flowers and hug u and never let go :)
