So this wasn’t really supposed to be a blog about my life and how I was getting it together. Except per usual. I didn’t stick with it. Here is why. After moving back home I became a full time babysitter for my nephews. For the entire month of May I was a housekeeper, rule-maker, and meanie. Then June came and I started my summer job and turned 21. As well as got engaged to this handsome fella. ♥ So my idea to piece together everything fell apart before all the pieces were even there.Â
That brings me to the point of this whole post. How I had to start planning my wedding without one of my oldest friends. We became close in High School. And then started College together. I went far away she stayed close to home. Last year we had a falling out because she always ditched our plans. It came to the point were I just wanted nothing to do with her.Â
So, I dropped her like a potato and moved on.Â
Or so I thought I did.Â
Our friendship never really came to a close, it just faded off into a minuscule line of dust. So this summer when I got engaged, my heart pulled a little bit as I was trying to plan out my bridesmaids and maids of honor. As I knew life to be up until last year this dear friend was always going to be in my future wedding. She had been there for  me through just about everything.Â
So, I reached out to her last week and we met for lunch today. in a couple of weeks were going to meet up for lunch again. We are going to take it slow and work on being friends again. But the connection that made us inseparable is just no longer there.Â
Anyways moral of the story. You can burn down all your bridges, but in the end there will always be more wood to build new ones.Â
