Soldier Boy gets frozen for a total of three separate times during The Boys, as this is an Omo Tumblr. I began theorizing fun ideas for this, and it hit me that despite being a Supe this could have been having a negative impact on his body. For those of you unaware, cryotherapy can be used to deal with prostate cancer, but one of the side effects is an increased urgency to urinate, and in rare cases it can even cause incontinence. Now Soldier Boy isn't undergoing cryotherapy treatments; he's fully frozen for long stretches at a time, so imagine all of that but far worse in effect. Now being a first-gen supe he probably came out of his stretch as a popsicle relatively fine despite decades in deep freeze, but it didn't stop there; he went back into a freezer for another 2-year stretch between seasons 3 and 5, and that's where the problems started.
It's upon his second unfreezing that he starts facing bladder problems, which greatly eats away at the macho persona he puts on. A grown man shouldn't piss his pants; he should be able to hold in his piss all day if he has to. When the need comes up during meetings, filming, or day to day life, he puts off going even when there is no need to do so, and it's quite blatant on his end. Not only does he squirm, but he will openly start squeezing his penis shut if he has to but will shut people down if they ask if he has to go to the bathroom. Despite all of this, though, I don't see Soldier Boy wetting himself not because he will always make it to a bathroom but because if it comes to it, he will piss on a wall or into a bottle regardless of where he is at, knowing people won't challenge him. Lastly, his healing factor is overtaxed by the fact he refuses to take things easy; his bladder can recover at this point, but he refuses to take the right steps or to talk to a doctor.
His third and final freezing only exacerbates his bladder problems to a level he can't come back from. To further add to all of this, I like to imagine when Homelander shoved him into the cryopod, Soldier Boy's bladder was far from empty; after all, he isn't a scientist and wouldn't take the precautions the Russians or CIA did. When he was frozen, all the piss in his bladder did too, causing further damage. If he faced sudden powerful urges before that he found hard to control, now his bladder will fully start to leak without his control. I can't even begin to state how shameful Soldier Boy finds wetting himself to be, and in a way it's ironic; the last thing he did before becoming Soldier Boy was to wet himself, and now he's going to do so more often than he ever did before. In an effort to regain some control, he probably gives up drinking, though it only has minor beneficial effects.
