Since the whole of heaven and all the constituents of heaven are connected to the one God, therefore the nature of angelic speech is such that through a harmony flowing from the harmony of heaven it ends in unison-evidence that it is impossible for angels to think of any but one God, for speech is an expression of thought.

Is there anyone possessed of sound reason who does not perceive that the Divine is not divisible, and that more than one infinite being, uncreated, omnipotent and God, is not possible? If someone lacking in reason should say that more than one infinite being, uncreated, omnipotent and God, is possible, provided they are of one and the same essence, and that by virtue of this they constitute one infinite being, uncreated, omnipotent and God, is not that same one essence equivalent to one identity? And the same one identity cannot be possessed by more than one being. If someone should say that the one infinite being exists from the other, then the one that exists from the other is not God in Himself, and yet God in Himself is God from whom springs all else

The Divine essence itself is love and wisdom. If you muster everything you know and submit it to your mind's inspection, and in a somewhat elevated state of the spirit examine what the universal element is in all things, you cannot help but conclude that it is love and wisdom. For these two are the essential ingredients in all components of a person's life. All his civil life, all his moral life, and all his spiritual life hang on these two. Without these two they are nonexistent.

The same is true of all the components in the life of the collective person, meaning, as before said, a society greater or smaller, a kingdom or empire, the church, and also the angelic heaven.

Take from these love and wisdom and consider whether they have any reality, and you will find that without love and wisdom as their origin they do not exist.
