The police of the Bedford Avenue Station are puzzled as to what possessed Michael Yokers to indulge in a peculiar prank. Yokers had been attending a Polish wedding and, stricken with remorse at the happiness of the young couple, ran from the house to the East River. A watchman caught Yokers as he was about to disappear over the North Sixth Street pier. At first it was thought that Yokers had made an attempt at suicide, but a charge of disorderly conduct was finally preferred. Yokers had been under $1,000 bond for decieving Helena Fecht, a young Polish girl who lives at 87 Beford Avenue.

Mr. John Boyce reported that his wife, who is of insane mind, escaped from their house at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He explained that she imagined herself a trainer of wild animals, and styled herself 'Lily Francis.' She was seen going along Bedford Avenue attired in a navy blue skirt with red shawl. Her general appearance attracted attention, and it was thought she had gone in search of some circus manager to hire her to train wild animals.

About 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon an Aldernay cow which was being led through Bedford Avenue by Matthew Rice, became frightened just above Fulton Street by an approaching elevated railroad train and dashed madly. After the street car tracks had been crossed the animal turned about and charged upon Rice. A struggle continued for fully five minutes when Rice, completely exhausted, fell upon the pavement, the beast stamping upon his face. Rice was carried into an undertaking establishment and thought to be dead. A superficial examination by the ambulance surgeon disclosed the fact that the man was still alive.

Studebaker on Bedford
The Studebaker Building. Bedford at Sterling Place.
Built in 1920, the Studebaker Building is one of the few automobile showrooms remaining on Brooklyn's once thriving Automobile Row, the stretch of Bedford Avenue running north and south from Fulton Street to Empire Boulevard in Crown Heights. The neo-Gothic stile building is brick and white terra cotta made by the Atlantic Terra Cotta Works, the largest fabricator of architectural terra cotta in the world from the turn-of-the-century to the Depression. The building still has the original terra cotta design inscribed with "Studebaker" in black cursive on a diagonal banner across the wheel emblem, an image that was used by the corporation on buildings all over the U.S.

B110
Brooklyn's B110, a privately operated bus line, runs along Bedford Avenue on its route between Williamsburg and Borough Park.
This week The New York World reported on the bus's longstanding gender rule:
The B110 operates according to its own distinct rules. The bus line is run by a private company and serves the Hasidic communities of the two neighborhoods. To avoid physical contact between members of opposite sexes that is prohibited by Hasidic tradition, men sit in the front of the bus and women sit in the back.
The bus has operated as a franchise, and enforced this rule, for 38 years. With the article's publication, The Department of Transportation is investigating the operator's lack of adherence to anti-discrimination laws
