Kelleigh is an 18 year old who has been through more in her life than anyone can ever imagine. As a result of this, she has been diagnosed with depression and anxiety amoung other things.
Kelleigh, in her 12 years of education, attended 10 schools. Her mother was extremely unstable when she was growing up and often left her alone for weeks at a time. When Kelleigh was 12, she finanlly left for the last time. Kelleigh then went to live with her dad in Arizona, where she took care of him 24/7, practically living as his nurse. For an early birthday present, one year, Kelleigh's dad took her to get the thing she had been asking for since she arrived: a cat.
Being the kind of person she was, Kelleigh refused to get a kitten or a cat from a kitty mill. She, instead, went to the Humane Society and picked out a little calico that she latered named Spirit.
Through thick and thin, state to state, Spirit and Kelleigh were inseparatable. While she lived on her own, due to her father's condition worsening, to the point where he was in the hospital for 6 months, Spirit was the only companion that she had.
When Kelleigh was finally placed in a loving home with her sister, Tambre (Me! Hello there!), she grew so much. And Spirit was with her.
However, after a deep depression, Kelleigh ended up in the hospital for several days, after finding out our dad had passed. She had tried to committ suicide.
After she got out, Kelleigh started attending regular therapy and growing passed this dark part of her life. She went on to graduate high school on time (something that was very unlikely to happen) and got a steady, paying job.
Now that she has switched to a better job and is a bit more stable, Kelleigh is ready to take the next step: moving out and becoming independent. The issue now, though, is that she will be unable to take her emotional support animal with her, due to lack of funds.
This step is already incredibly difficult for her to undertake but without Spirit, she is feeling that it's impossible.
Please help her be able to take Spirit with her. She's the kind of person who never asks for help, despite needing it. She goes out of her way to help everyone else and this time, she needs someone.
