indefinite hiatus

          I guess the title tells it all. I have come back from a longer break and as glad as I was to see that most of my plots haven’t got dropped, I have to admit that I don’t feel like coming on here anymore ( the reasons are below read more because – fair warning – it became long ). I felt really privileged to be able to role play and create wonderful ships with certain people and I think they know who they are so thank you, again. I’m going to create a new account with new muses ( i already created the account but it’s far from ready yet ) but i’m not going to share the link publicly – if there happened to be anyone who would like to still rp with me there, you can send me a message and I’ll send you the URL in the answer.           Alright. I didn’t want to clog anyone’s dash but this would be the part where I explain what led me to make this decision. Anyone who knows me at least a little knows that I have a real obsession with role playing and I easily get attached to plots and characters and so on... However I am not that that obsessed anymore, I still find it a great hobby and opportunity to practice the language. I have most of these characters more than a year and in many aspects I have been lucky enough to develop them, however there’s always more to do. I invested a great amount of time into creating original characters with background stories and individual personalities even if I know the most people pick muses based on their face claims but do whatever pleases you, I just like to reason why my characters react to something the way they do. I still love them to bits but I feel like that the majority of them are highly ignored and that puts me off. I tried to add a few new muses to see if that helps on that feeling, although I guess it just deepened it seeing as I didn’t really have the chance to use them. Also, recently I started to feel like that replying and to come on here are more of an obligation because I hate disappointing people but to be fair I shouldn’t continue just to please the demands, especially when I’m not enjoying it as much as I did it once.

        There’s something else here I have to point out. I find it utterly ridiculous how the community has come to ignore female characters. I have a great selection of both genders and personally I love playing both but that doesn’t mean anyone should take advantage of that. I have never been selective between replies and plots on the base of gender (tbh in all of my developed plots I play the male, which says something i guess) and always tried to keep a great balance -- to have a little of everything but with the mentality of many writers it’s basically impossible to have that. Just to make an example: lately out of  the average of 17 drafts about 2 were for my females, which is slightly disappointing. It came to the extent that I have hardly got the chance to play my females, they got ignored constantly and their plots have been dropped with the same intensity. I don’t like the bargain that I will give you my male if you give me your male because come on.... But honestly, don’t expect people to keep up threads with certain characters when you ignore others ---- I think everybody should think about that and stop whining, especially if they are guilty of the above described phenomenon. Huge respect to those little few who are exceptions from this annoying trend because I wrote with them and they exist and deserve a round of applause.

          Another reason was the ignorance I have come across lately. I honestly don’t get why people post starter calls or offers to plot if in the end they change their minds. This is also very true vice versa. If you ask for a starter or to plot then don’t ignore and let the starter -- or message forever in your tag/inbox because that’s just simply rude. Not gonna lie, I have been guilty of that like once or twice too, but never left anything unanswered. Have some manners guys; it’s not about replying within 5 minutes, take all the time you need because we all have our personal lives that should always be a priority over a created fictional world in my opinion; just don’t be an arse to people -- that’s all. And if I’m already talking about manners, there’s something else here. Patience is a virtue. Role playing should be fun and a place where you are not stressed so stop nagging or sending disregarding messages because I can tell from personal experience that won’t make the writing process any quicker, on the contrary...

          That’s all I can think of right now. It was nothing personal just something I had to get out of my chest for a long time. I highly doubt that anyone made it this far but if you did I’m honestly sorry for having to put up with my rambling. Anyway, goodbye. It was nice to be here. xoxo
