i’m not gonna write a long story because as you see my life is;
what are you favorite quotes?
ad astra per aspera (to the stars through difficulty)
“so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.” - f. scott fitzgerald, the great gatsby
"so plant your own gardens and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.” - jorge luis borges
“we’re made of star stuff. we are a way for the cosmos to know itself.“ - carl sagan
“there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.“ - maya angelou
“the starry sky, the sea, and every sight afforded by these wonderful regions, seems still to have the power of elevating his soul from earth.“ - mary shelley, frankenstein
“thus strangely are our souls constructed, and by slight ligaments are we bound to prosperity and ruin.” - mary shelley, frankenstein
“the mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” - john milton, paradise lost
"i am not ruined. i am ruination.” - leigh bardugo, ruin and rising
“we have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins, carbon in our souls, and nitrogen in our brains. 93 percent stardust, with souls made of flames, we are all just stars that have people names.” - nikita gill
“Not knowing what to do, where to go, I ended up in the only safe place: the library”

everyone is starting to go back to school and this can sometimes be very stressful, especially if you’re going to be sitting important exams and such. soooo I thought I’d give y'all some tips on how to make school more enjoyable!!
1. Get organised.
before going back to school, make a list of everything that you need to do and get
if your course is a continuation of the previous year, look over your notes to refresh your memory before going back, even try old homework exercises to test what you know
if you are starting a new course, you could look up the syllabus online to see what topics you will be covering, and you could even start taking notes (bbc bite size is great for those living in the UK)
buying your textbook before school starts also gives you a chance to look ahead at what you will be studying
2. Establish a good group of friends.
having good friends to talk to and laugh with at break and lunch really lifts my spirits during the school day
even if you already have a group of friends, it’s always a good idea to talk to and get to know more people
the best thing that you can do is be smiley and kind and this will make you approachable
remember that a few genuine friends > lots of popular friends
3. Participate.
put your hand up in lessons, get involved in class discussions, anything that you can participate in- go for it
you might also want to join extra curricular clubs after school, not only are they good for your PS, but they also bring great opportunities such as improving a skill, the chance to take part in competitions and to meet new people
4. Have a study routine.
get into a routine of doing homework and studying after school as soon as school starts back, so that you can continue to keep on top of your studies
it also means that when exams come around, you won’t have as much to study and studying won’t seem as big of a task
try a weekend review: this is where at some point during the weekend you look back on and review everything you covered at school during the week
5. Be grateful.
although school isn’t always fun, and can be really stressful at times, just remember how lucky you are that you have the opportunity to get an education
an education opens up doors for your future and allows you to achieve your goals
when you’re lacking motivation, try making a list of reasons why going to school is beneficial
6. Make time for relaxing.
its is really important to have a healthy balance between studying and relaxing/ doing things that you love.
try to put aside at least 1 hour each day in which you can chill out. You may want to spend time with your friends/ family, read, have a long bath, sleep, play sports or anything that you enjoy.
7. Study subjects that interest you.
studying for a subject that you like is 10x better than studying for one you dislike
you’ll have more motivation to study, do your homework and put more effort in to your work
it will also lower your stress levels and boredom during lessons and when studying
8. Eat good food. (most important thing tbh)
I cannot even tell you how many times I’ve had a bad lunch and it ended up lowering my mood for the rest of the school day!
make sure that your lunch is sufficiently filling and healthy
my favourite thing to have for lunch is a type of pasta, with fruit, salad and a bar of chocolate/ something sweet
it’s also good to stay hydrated throughout the day. Try to drink at least one large bottle of water during school
eating well and staying hydrated keeps you refreshed and awake, making it easier to focus in class and less likely to get tired and bored
hope this helps for going back to school, u can do it!!

i’m curled up underneath the covers today because 1) it’s warm and 2) how does one argue with reason #1? honestly.
i also have an instagram now @cynscloud. might consider just moving over there because tumblr is, uh, a bit unstable right now. tell your moms or whatever.
