"Doctor...Doctor...Y-You're the one mummy spoke of!"  It seemed to click, staring at him.  "you're the one who saved me..."

The brunette stared at the man and narrowed her eyes. Only Jamie called her that..

”..Jamie?”

The young blonde man was staring at her, tears in his eyes.  It was her, it had to be here.  Slowly, Jamie nodded his head.  ”Y-Yes…it’s me mummy…”

She slowly shook her head. “No..no ya can’t be..” Biting the inside of her lip, she examined him. Same blond hair, same eyes. But if it is, how is he older?

"You..you’re older. How?" Nancy demanded in a low tone, taking a small step towards him.

Jamie stepped forward, looking at her utterly confused and helpless.  But he stopped, watching her.  "I-I don't...I don't know...B-But you look the same mummy..."

Jamie will have moments of clarity, where he is completely in control of himself.  But other times, when he is tired and the thought that his mother is dead slips into his mind.  He will regress back to the state of the Empty Child, and ask people "Are you my mummy?"

"Jamie? Jamie is that you?" Jack’s voice cracked as he spun around to look at the other.

"Mummy?"

Jamie shook his head.  No, no that wasn't right.  She was gone and she wasn't coming back.  "Yes...My name is Jamie."

"No I’m not your mummy."

"Hang on…J—Jamie?"

That got him to stop, something breaking through his momentary state of insanity.

"Y-yes?  How...how do you know my-"

"I did," he stated with a slight nod of his head. It was now or never he thought to himself as he decided to bring up about that time. "I’m sorry…about what happened to you Jamie."

"Why are you sorry...?  I'm alive aren't I?"  Though he should have been dead.  Many times over he should have been dead.

"Depends.  That your way of sayin’ you’re about to zap me away? Won’t matter.  Will still be here."

"Can't die. Seems to be a curse from meeting a certain group of people."
