Hi!

Hey joyers, I'm sorry for not being around recently. I was very busy rehearsing and taping my audition for Kpop Cover Dance Festival. Three of my friends and I decided to give it a shot as 2ne1. This drabble is more poetry than fanfiction. It describes the feelings and toughts of Kyuhyun when he's appart from Sungmin. For a Joyer it is just beautiful when authors make use of things that happen in Kyuhyun's and Sungmin's real life, and then make a story out of it. I'm a hopeless romantic so I enjoyed it very much, specially when they reunite.

A nice little drabble for those melancholic afternoons.

READ IT! No, seriously, drop whatever you're doing and get reading this fanfiction. Now! It is so good in every aspect that I really don't know where to start reviewing it.

Rest assured that you will not be dissapointed in this story. Great grammar, good character development (specially Sungmin), excellent pacing and just the right amount of "realness"(is that a word?). It is VERY violent and not at all censured, so prepare yourselves, but it is worth the pain. That violence is well balanced by beautifuly described sentiments and moments of peace.

Normaly I go for the easy and no-drama romance, but stories like When Life Repays You give plenty of reasons to give drama a chance. Let me know what you guys think of it.

About the author

Shae Connet is an excellent writer. I absolutely think that she can get published anytime, and I've always tought so. The thing about her work is that she doesn't only narrates stories, she creates worlds and characters that immerse you in them, making you disconnect from the reality. That's why I think her forte is AU, she has an amazing ability to imagine and describe elements out of this world.

But she also manages to write cute and fluffy (and sometimes angsty) non-AUs, so there's something for every taste. Currently, she's working on an AU placed in a world where there are people with powers called "extras", it's called Discovering The Universal (KyuMin), and it's simply fenomenal. She writes mostly KyuMin, but there's YeWook, Kangteuk, Hanchul, YunJae and more on her libraries.

SUNGMIN LOVES KYUHYUN'S VOICE (One Shot)

What made me read this one, was the title, since I think that Sungmin actually is Kyuhyun's voice's biggest fanboy. So I gave it a shot, and I was not dissapointed. Their relationship has a nice development, nothing too rushed, so it's nice for the people (like me) who like good smut embebed in a good story.

Some grammar mistakes, but nothing too bad. The characters are very well built, so that's a perfect mark. The plot was good, but it got a little hectic towards the end, and it had an original starting point (the voice thing) but that was it. Sweet and hot in all the right places.

I'm sorry but I can't help but ask why on earth would you put MinKyu as a warning? KyuMin and MinKyu are exactly the same thing. Kyuhyun and Sungmin. I think all those differences are really petty to be honest.

I’m actually glad you asked, this way I can explain further on this matter.

You see, while I don’t think KyuMin and MinKyu are exactly the same thing (technically they are not, since one’s the uke and one’s the seme in each case), I also think that it is not really something worthy of a warning. But that is just my opinion. Just as yours is to not see a difference in who tops in their relationship.

Moreover, there are many (MANY!!! believe me) people who would discard a good fanfiction just because it has MinKyu in it. And those are the people that would like to be at least warned about that. Take it as if you, for example, don’t really like m-preg, I think you would like to know that a fanfiction has that element before being dissapointed mid-read. Don’t you think? So that is the service I’m providing: a mere notification of something (as I said in my About page) that is not normally expected in a KyuMin storyline.

It is more an issue about likes and dislikes, so don’t take the things I put in warnings as “bad" things; they are just information about crucial stuff in the fic.

EVERY PAGE COUNTS (Two Shot)

The first time I read "Every Page Counts" it was 3 am where I live and I couldn't sleep afterwards. That's how good it is. The author is so damn good conveying feelings and states of mind, that I just couldn't get over the fact that I WANTED what Kyuhyun and Sungmin had in this story. Sure, there are many fluffy and warm ficlets that make you all fuzzy and you start thinking about how cute it is; but this is beyond that, in the sense that is not that kind of fluff, is REAL kind of fluff. I don't know if I can really explain you guys how this fanfiction made me feel, so you just are going to have to read it.

The ending is just fenomenal, it made me cry. I can't say what it is about because it is one of those stories in which everything counts, so it'll be a spoiler even if I tell you how the characters are. The most I can do is to make it an All Star, because it is perfection from beginning to end.

I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE CUTE (One Shot)

Well first let me tell you: THIS ONE'S HOT. I loved it, loved it, loved it!! Sorry for the fangirling, but the SungMAN in this is hawt as fire. It is basically Kyuhyun telling Sungmin he's tired of his aegyo, and then Sungmin turns into this beast that takes control. I specially loved the instant change in Sungmin's attitude when Kyuhyun confronts him, it made my toes curl. Hate to be a spoiler, but I have to tell you: it is mainly KyuMin, the part of MinKyu is tiny.

Plot is 6 because it virtually has no plot, other than Kyuhyun beign bored of the cuteness, and 10 in originality because I've never before read smut that had a battle for dominance other than in the tongues when they kiss. Really, really good.

A very entertaining and original fanfic; it revolves around the life in a militar school and just that makes it so different from other stories. I've read armyAUs, but they're always about how hot Sungmin looks in a uniform (and how Kyuhyun wants to rip said uniform off of him, so...smut); but this is a whole other theme: rifle drills, line of leadership, rankigs, etc. The plot is mainly about how Sungmin gets to know and love Kyuhyunie, but it has every detail about Ryeowook, Yesung, Heechul and all of them as members of the military; I gave it an 8 in the plot because it is a little bit slow paced for my taste, and 9 in characters because I think some of the development is kind of forced, but its a very good fanfiction nonetheless.

Summary: Sungmin is dark, mysterious, and a little weird. Kyuhyun is strangely intrigued by him even though he shouldn't be. He tries to get close to Sungmin but he always acts so cold. Kyuhyun doesn't give up though and he ends up learning a lot more about Sungmin than he had ever expected.

This is an interesting fanfic that has every good classic KyuMin elements: Kyuhyun chasing Sungmin, development of feelings over time, angts about being together; all of those and more. But even in the very used "vampire" theme, the author offers a different storyline and you just can't stop reading until you finish. Also the angst is well balanced with the commitment Kyuhyun has for his feelings towards Sungmin, so, in my opinion, is more like a one-sided angst. Very good story for an afternoon.
