↷ sebastian’s behavior and attitude are entirely brought on by his parents treatment of him , or lack thereof . they’re never around in his life . and when they are ? they don’t pay attention . being the perfect son is hard when you’re trying impress the people who won’t even bother to notice . so he stopped being it .
↷ acting out became a game of how far can i go before my parents take notice of me , for sebastian . he’d often take things too far and when they didn’t bother to notice , he tried to take it even further .
↷ after some time , it stopped being about if his parents would ever take notice of him . the behavior , the attitude , and the way he treated people had become part of his personality and he just rolled with it .
↷ because of everything he became , sebastian finds it hard to make actual friends . even after he turned things around and tried to be a better person , not everyone trusted him .
↷ it’s all fun and games until it’s not . after finally realizing how far he’s taken things and how bad his words and actions effect people , he reevaluates himself as a person . he takes a step back and apologizes to those he’s harmed along the way and works to earn their trust and forgiveness . his redemption sticks , despite the writers trying to take it back as soon as it’s given .
↷ despite everyone finding it hard to trust his intentions , sebastian actually is trying to be a better person . he’ll sometimes slip up in little ways ( like with his words ) . but he’s trying .
