theon is the character of all time because the idea of your father’s failed rebellions hanging over your head the entire time you’re a prisoner of war and being so motivated by your desperate need to find belonging with him and your people, that you attempt your own rebellion that leads to you becoming a prisoner once again is probably the most gut wrenching outcome possible. forced to hear of your surrogate ‘family’ dying, feeling the immense guilt for it, forced to think that maybe you didn’t have it so bad because while ned stark was your gaoler from the age of 10 at least he didn’t have you emaciated, eating rats and getting sexually abused. forced to reckon with the suffering from your adolescence that became second nature with every disregarding word, every indifferent action, from the people who held you hostage but were also your friends. man.

-jon and arya finish eachothers sentences frequently enough for her to miss it

-robb and arya both being scolded for having their swords drawn when it isn't needed and being sheepish while putting it away

-arya being left handed

-bran, jon, sansa and arya all calling people ugly in their heads (robbs probably doing it too but i guess we'll never know)

-jon and robb pranking the younger ones in the crypts with jon covering himself in flour to look like a ghost and robb leading them down there and then arya punching jon because of it

-all of them insisting repeatedly that they are grown up enough!!! stop calling then children they are nearly adults grown!!!!!

ive been reading throbb fanfics for the past 5 hours or so

you know people make fun of ned for claiming that 3 year old rickon is too old to be scared of direwolves, but I bet he was even worse with baby jon. I mean at least the other kids had catelyn to balance his parenting out, but jon only ever had ned for emotional support. like imagine newborn jon crying because he’s hungry or tired or something, and ned just picks him up, looks him straight in the eye, and imparts one of his classic Starkisms™ to him like 😐 “you’re too old for this now, jon. no more tears. we’re not in dorne anymore. you are a child of the north, and in the winter your tears will freeze on your cheeks and explode in your eyeballs and kill you violently. end this mummer’s farce while you still can.” and then eight-week-old jon immediately shuts the fuck up and never cries again (ned gives him a little forehead kiss as a reward). anyway this is why jon is Like That.
