Welcome Korryn Skye to the world. She joined our family April 23 at 8:27am via csection. Weighing 8lbs 6oz. It was amazing how things went with a planned csection as opposed to the emergency one with Kaiden. We were released from hospital April 24th at lunch time and we were super excited to get home. First night at home went awesome and everyone is adjusting well. Kaiden loves doting on his little sister and asks to hold her a lot!

5 days left....and my feet are unbelievably swollen. Last day of work yesterday. Cut 12" off my hair 3 nights ago. Still not finished everything in Baby's room but we figure she won't be sleeping in there for a while anyway lol and I will be able to actually walk around without feet being ridiculous. For the next 4 days I have no intentions of going anywhere except I get a few groceries.

37 weeks 3 days

Full term. Woah! Two weeks tomorrow we will have our sweet little baby. Taking tomorrow off work...I'm actually sick and it's been hard teaching kindergarten all week while barely being able to talk. I need an R and R day to lounge on the couch. Still have to add the finishing touches to Baby's room. I feel like we are cutting it close this time. With Kaiden we were done months in advance lol oh well it will come in due time, and the baby won't even be sleeping in there for a bit. This pregnancy seems like it's been the longest and shortest pregnancy ever. I love love love being pregnant, but I'm kind of done now. I just want to hold this sweet baby girl!!!!

Definitely having what I think are Braxton hicks today.

Either I'm getting sick or I have allergies. I'm typically allergic to spring and fall, but no idea about specifics. I feel like crap.

36 Weeks!

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow which means 4 weeks until Baby and 3 weeks left of work (if I can handle it that long). Baby is officially coming April 23rd as I have a planned csection in the morning. So I guess that actually means less than 4 weeks to go. It's exhausting teaching kindergarten while pregnant. I'm so grateful for my teaching partner, and honestly don't think I would be still working if I didn't have her. I've had problems with low blood pressure which caused dizziness and the need to sit more, and now my ankles are swelling which is causing me to sit more again. We are so ready for Baby, and if Baby turns out to be a boy I'm going to have a lot of work on my hands as I have all the girl clothes washed and hung/folded. She has SO many clothes already it's crazy! Kaiden is all registered for Junior Kindergarten for the fall and we decided to put him in French immersion. Today, while we were at an Easter Bunny breakfast we ran into numerous of his friends from daycare and found out a few of them will also be at the same school for French immersion. So he's getting kind of excited for that. Chances are he will be in at least one of his friends' classes, and at the very least he will see them at recess. Kaiden had been steadily over 27lbs for a while now which is nice. He still seems small for starting school in the fall. Luckily I will be off with the baby so I can drive him for the most part instead of sending him by bus.

4:40am

Sleep insomnia how I hate thee. This pregnancy I've been plagued with sleep insomnia. Typically for me, anywhere between 1-2.5 hours. I woke up at 4 this time which is later than usual and now I'm wide awake. Ugh. And that's on top of the 10:30 wake up from Kaiden, then having to pee like 2 other times. At least today is Friday.

26 week appointment and my gestational diabetes test. Around here they make everyone do the two hour test now. So I've got the afternoon off work. Good news about sitting at the hospital for 2 hours was that I got a huge chunk of report card stuff done.

Happy Belated New Year Everyone!

We were on a family vacation in Jamaica over New Years...it was amazing. I loved every second of the sun, and beach, and everything else. It was so nice to not cook or clean for a week....and then we came back to Ontario and BAM winter weather hit. Since we came home last Saturday it's been the coldest temperatures we've had this season. First week back at work and we couldn't let the kids outside for recesses because the temp was -25C or lower with the windchill. That was sure exhausting.

Kaiden's been awesome, although his first few days back after a two week vacation were rough.

We're taking all things Christmas down this weekend....my house looks so boring now lol

I'm 25 weeks today, and Baby is moving around like crazy.

Didn't sleep very well last night, I kept getting Kaiden's hand in my face, or woke up having to pee.

Still have to write Kaiden's 3 year update, but that will come soon...?

Weekends need to be 3 days...I have so much to do still and do not want to go back to work tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with family and friends. Us, we are still waiting on Kaiden to wake up. I've been up for an hour now as the Baby has been having a Christmas Day dance party or something in there. Oh how times change....

How far along? 22 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Not sure, haven't weighed myself in a while

Maternity clothes? Yeah, I've got a nice bump

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: Good ol' sleep insomnia is getting me and it's horrible.

Best moment this week: As always, feeling the baby move around

Movement: Numerous times a day

Food cravings: Nothing really yet

Gender: Find out for sure tomorrow

What I miss: a Nice glass of wine with my steak dinner

What I am looking forward to: Finding out Baby's gender

Weekly Wisdom: Sleep is much harder with a 3 year old, a snoring husband and sleep insomnia....UGH

22 Weeks

I'm 22 weeks today and Baby was moving like crazy this morning during my 2 hour sleep insomnia. It's killing me, this whole sleep insomnia thing, I've never had a problem sleeping before so it sucks. Normally it's been around 2-2:30ish until 4-4:30ish, but this morning it started at 4 and went until just before 6...and then Kaiden woke up at 7:45. Mind you he slept in but still....

But ANYWAY, I feel great other than that. Luckily we're on Christmas break now so I will be able to relax a bit for 2 weeks. I've got to finish my Christmas shopping still, and finish knitting my niece an infinity scarf, AND bake some cookies. Oh, and now I've got a cold from the lack of sleep the past few nights....

I have another ultrasound tomorrow afternoon which is exciting, then Tuesday I have a Dr appointment bright and early then husband and I are going to grab a couple last minute things and go to a movie. Kaiden is going to daycare for the next two days to give us some time to get stuff done (and give him some time with friends). It's going to be weird being out and about without Kaiden during the week.

I'm open to trying different books, I have recently enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy, Divergent trilogy, and I generally have enjoyed most Jodi Picoult books.

Point Form Update

Kaiden is now 3 years old

He's amazing!

Finally 26/27lbs depending on the day

Fully potty trained as of November 19th

Self weaned from nursing November 11th

Hasn't slept in his own bed since about a week and a half before Halloween....makes for some long nights, but he doesn't wake up screaming and in tears

We went on the Santa train today and he wouldn't even look at Santa, but he loved all the tractors/construction trucks we passed while on the train.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant. (surprise!)

It's going great

No morning sickness/food adversions

Other than gaining weight/a belly you wouldn't know I was pregnant

My only other symptom is a constant stuffed nose. It's rather annoying

It's flying by and I hope it would slow down a bit

Felt the first actual kick on the evening of Dec. 10th

Have my next ultrasound on December 22nd....SO excited!

Haven't even cleaned out/up the spare room which will be the Baby's room....haven't bought anything yet....feel so unready compared to when I was pregnant with Kaiden

Kindergarten is exhausting.

I have 22 students, 11 JKs, and 11 SKs

December has been even more exhausting because of the amount of things we are stuffing into our days

And that's that for now. 12 days until Christmas!!!!

Kaiden's sleep

I don't know how to go about fixing this...but if Kaiden sleeps I his bed/room he wakes up crying and screaming lately at least 2-3 times a night. Lately he has been asking to sleep in our bed and he will sleep for 10 hours straight. Hubby and I don't get the best sleep when he's in out bed but it's not horrible. Aside from getting a bigger king size bed, I don't know what to do. Kaiden had a sound machine and a night light, we leave his door open. Is it hopefully just a phase, or did we start him on a really bad habit? He's currently in his bed, but he was asking for our bed before he fell asleep....and I'm sure he will end up here when he wakes up in a couple hours. Any advice?

Wow, wow, wow.....

So I have definitely neglected writing on here, and staying caught up with all of my favourite tumblrs.

Kaiden will be 3 next month and I can't believe how time has flown by. We are two months into the school year and it's been exhausting. I have 22 students, 11 3/4 year olds (JK), and 11 5 year olds (SK).

Currently I am watching the live coverage of Cpl. Cirillo's journey home on the Highway of Heroes. He is the soldier that got killed Wednesday while he was standing guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa. It's bringing me to tears, and also makes me feel so much pride as people are stopping on the highway, on both sides to show their support and respect. Everyone was told by OPP not to stop on the highway, and especially not to get out of their vehicles. People are lined up on every bridge that crosses the highway with flags, wearing red. Heck even Firefighters, and other people are standing on guard. Such a senseless murder of a young father. All the stories coming out about him bring me to tears. Even his dog is depressed.

I have so much more to write, but I can't think of anything else right now,..the coverage is still on and I truly can't think of anything more.

I will update more and hopefully catch up on blogs soon. But I'm back!

Note to self: don't sleep with contacts in

You know it's been an extremely long week when it's finally sunny and nice out, and hubby, myself and Kaiden all had over 2 hour naps. I feel like I could keep sleeping until tomorrow morning. Kaiden is being difficult to wake up. Mon- father in law and two aunts come from NB, we met them at my nieces soccer game, Kaiden fell asleep in the car on the way home Tues- we drove to my brother in laws house and hung out with the family plus some cousins and friends. Kaiden fell asleep on the way home Wed- family came to our place to stay the night and we went bumming around down town in the little shops. We went out for supper and (you guessed it) Kaiden fell asleep on the way home...at 7:00 I thought we were in trouble but he stayed asleep until 2:30 and then after a quick snuggle fell bak asleep until 7. Thurs- went to the market and had a tiring day. Kaiden ended up staying up until midnight because everyone stayed here again (including his cousin). Fri- packed up and headed to Niagara Falls for the day. Walked around a lot. Kaiden fell asleep on the way home. Sat - we had a wedding to attend so we dropped Kaiden at my parents' place. It was raining and gross and we left early (outdoor wedding/reception). Kaiden fell asleep on the way home and transferred right to bed. He only woke up once and slept until 7:40. We are all exhausted. A few more days of relaxing then it's full fledge school prep time.
