Well that was great. My heart was racing the whole movie.

I really loved it. I really needed it. As glad as I am that I didn’t come out in high school, I am so happy that a younger generation gets to see positivity like this.

Makes me want to come out to my parents, but I know that it isn’t the time.

When Simon googled how to dress gay I knew I’d done that before. Tried on all my clothes in the mirror and convinced myself if I looked more gay, people would know and it would be better. I would be more me. But that’s not the case.

When he kept trying to guess who Blue was, I remembered all the times I try to guess whether that cute girl over there could be gay too.

When he knew he was gay because of Daniel Radcliffe, I knew I liked girls because of Emma Watson. I also knew I was bi because I liked Brendon Urie. I was 15. I needed a movie like this when I was 15. To save me from being a homophobic ass to cover up who I really am.

I’m so happy to know that every day more and more conversations are started and there’s more positive representation to help all the young LGBTQ+ people out there. Even if it’s just a fun and beautiful love story, it matters to me. 🏳️‍🌈
