"What's your going rate? For like an evening out?"
“Probably more than you can afford sweetheart.”
“If you do assume you have enough money, you can contact the agency. “
“I will text you where to pick me up on Wednesday” This one was a cocky, Poppy noted silently to herself - but not cocky enough for her to shut him down. Quite the opposite - he intrigued her in some way. Perhaps it was her majoring in history, but he seemed as the type of man that could build an empire as fast as he could be destroying one, with his attitude.
He had a nice smile too, she noticed, when he wasn’t smirking smugly. He seemed like he got her rules down. Poppy tilted her head to side again, not checking her own cell when it vibrated on the table. “I believe you,” she commented and stood up on her heels, placing her hand gently on his shoulder. “I will see you on Wednesday night, Mr Elliot”.

It was a simple task, but Poppy took it seriously every time. She spent the whole after noon getting ready for her date. After all, for the amount of money her new client, Mr. Elliot, was paying he deserved her top best appearance, right? She bought a brand new, tight, short and black cocktail dress. Got her copper colored hair up in a high hairdo just as he instructed, added a few simple yet elegant jewelries. To complete the look, she had a pair of expensive black heels on. She texted him the address of the hair saloon she had gotten her hair done, that way she wouldn’t disclose her private address. At seven thirty she waited outside ready.
“Alright, Miss Black…” Was all Spencer said as she made her exit, glancing after her briefly and wondering for a moment what a woman like her would be like off hours and not put on the spot as she had been tonight.

Spencer hated these sort of events but at least it would be held at a large venue where he could hide away with his hired date when the crowd became too much for him. He found that most CEOs were out of touch, some delusional and more entitled than even him and, as have been proven by recent scientific studies, many displayed traits of nonviolent psychopaths, yet still dangerous enough to crush people in their path and ruin lives without a care. He couldn’t stand more than half the people, mostly white men, that he was expected to hob nob with this evening. In a way it made him miss his days of reality tv which was full of diverse, sometimes ridiculous people, but usually people who were too honest, with interesting personalities. And there were far more women than men. Spencer felt he got a long better with women.
After the limo pulled up he slipped out to hold the door open for her before the driver could get out and do his job. Spencer was dressed well in a solid dark blue suit with a yellow shirt and matching tie, donning a light grey overcoat, smiling at first in a crooked dopey way before adopting a more serious expression as he noticed her. He waved her over in a friendly manner, noticing her attire without being obvious about it. She was stunningly beautiful, naturally and now that she was dolled up he was sure she would draw more attention than even him. He figured with her looks and line of work, and with just the way men were on a regular basis, Miss Black had her fair share of compliments, probably even worse behavior.
“You look great…” He stated as practical as can be, leaving his flirtatious side home. This was business after all and Spencer could be very respectful, having had many lady friends whose complaints about asshole behavior never fell on deaf ears. He stepped aside with one arm still resting on the open limo door, waiting for her to enter.
