Today's mid-workday thought was about how irritated Sabo was during Dressrosa and how he was on sight with Barto from second one after meeting him. I was wondering why he'd be so annoyed with Barto in particular, to such a degree that it almost felt out of character, and then I remembered Barto was the one who fuckin shattered Hack's hand.

Makes a lot more sense why Sabo hated the guy instantly. Like first of all Sabo’s the chief of staff, and he's pretty notably protective of his people. A fantastic example of this is how fucking furious he was regarding Kuma's enslavement.

Not to mention the fact Hack is among the few who have been with Sabo from the beginning and helped him through an enormous amount of trauma. Hack trained Sabo and helped raise him, he was one of the people who guided Sabo through his recovery and helped him come to terms with his amnesia, and when Sabo’s memories returned Hack sat by his bedside for three days while Sabo was in a coma.

Hack knew how much getting the Mera Mera meant to Sabo because he'd watched Sabo grow up from a tiny little ten year old into the man he is today. There's no doubt in my mind that the only reason Hack was fighting in the Battle Royale was for Sabo’s sake, because Sabo was probably busy at the time and would have just caused a commotion if he'd been the one to enter (which he did, the little psycho).

Hack was like "let me handle this, you're incapable of following the rules, you and Koala take care of the mission."

But Barto not only beat Hack, he had the audacity to badly injure him. How fucking dare he do that to someone so important to Sabo.

Even when Hack was turned into a doll Sabo was like instinctually ready to throw hands with Barto, like "idk why I don't like you but we got beef" and I respect that.

God I fucking love Sabo.

I gotta rewatch Dressrosa.

i love sabo so much bc he looks like he's smart but he's just as dumb as his brothers. more than them, even. bc sabo actively stops, thinks about the situation, says "this is fucking stupid" and proceeds to do it. no hesitation. no questions asked.

Imma be real, if Sabo had gotten his memories back in time to do something about Marineford, I do not think it would've taken much to convince Dragon to help. All he'd have to do is make this face 🥺 and Dragon would've been like "ok..." Know how I know? Cuz that's the face Sabo made to convince Dragon to let him stay with the revs, and Dragon is a pushover.

He looks like he's having the fight of his life trying to make himself say no but he couldn't. Pathetic.

Thought I'd start today off with something interesting. I have proof that Sabo’s eyes aren't blue but are, in fact, gray! Behold!

This is a screen shot that a friend of mine (@kwnblack) took from the anime. Note the wonderful dark gray coloring. From here on out, I will forever refer to Sabo’s eyes as gray or just 'dark' and until given concrete proof by the author himself, I will continue to think that his eyes are gray.
