Found this really good thread on twitter explaining what exactly is happening in Australia right now, because I haven’t seen much on Tumblr.

And because I don’t think the thread touched on it, when Scott Morrison, our PM finally did visit the affected areas he forced the residents to shake his hand (literally forced, he grabbed a woman’s hand even though she said no) and then walked away when they tried to talk about the situation and ask for help.  Google his name and you’ll find videos.

To update: the human death toll is now at 17.

Countless more animals have been lost over the last two days, adding to that half a billion total. That’s not a typo. Half a BILLION.

500 homes were lost over new years alone.

People where I live and all around the state can’t go outside without masks on because the air is getting so hard to breathe.

And this is expected to continue for months.

The Forgotten are a very different kind of race to any other I’ve made before, as they are a very depressing concept. They are grey shades who wander the Shadowfell, born when someone is forgotten forever, and cursed with immortality to reflect this eternal loss. Their lives are full of hardships and mistrust, so they erase the memories of those around them to avoid being remembered by anyone. Unlike those that forgot them, the Forgotten also remember everything, although this great memory can be a curse when you live for as long as they do. They’re not a fun bunch to be sure, but their integral link to memory, time and death should make them very interesting to roleplay.

University has been keeping me busy, so sorry for slowing down on content. This post also marks my change to using GMBinder as opposed to Homebrewery to create my content!

Elemental Weapons are finally here! After being largely time-inefficient, I managed to finish up and get the thing proofread. Above is a sample of the uncommon ones, as to avoid this post being annoyingly long; below is the link to a pdf.

My second nature-themed subclass in a row! I like the ranger class despite its weaknesses, but I always felt its subclasses were either very niche (specifically the ones released in Xanathar’s) or very weak (looking at you, Beast Master and Hunter). So I wanted to create an option for ranger that was neither of those things: a subclass that was mechanically powerful, but that could also be adapted fit any ranger character. And just like that, the wild master came to be.

As you’ve probably noticed by now, I love subclasses that can be customised, and the wild master is no different. You get to choose your own features at 3rd level (one of seven, although by 11th level you’ll have 3 of them), 7th level (technically a choice, even though it’s tied to your fighting style) and 15th level (one of three features to make you incredibly strong in a fight). I did this because I wanted to make each player’s experience with the subclass different, and to also allow them to tailor the subclass to their character. By the time you’ve reached 15th level, you should have a wild master different to everyone else’s, with features that represent what they’ve seen, how they fight and where they’ve been (and, in my incredibly biased opinion, that’s pretty cool).

Hey hey hey, it’s been a few days. So I’ve been doing some more work on my F.I.V.R. cyberpunk expansion for Vallonde (tagged for your convenience), and the next thing I wanted to do some work on was cybernetics and augmentation. The problem is, what I thought was going to be a short write-up ended up being way bigger than I originally thought it would be and has been taking me far long to flesh out than I thought it would. You’ll notice that all costs have been omitted since no value baseline has been laid out to compare them to, and the attunement values have been mostly ignored while I work out balancing issues. Basically putting that stuff in right now would be pointless because this is all going to change at some point. ANYWAY, I wanted to share the skeleton I’ve created for the system just so you can kind of have an idea where it’s going and what I’ve been wasting my time on lately. Obviously all very WIP/rough draft, so keep that in mind as you look over it.

A Mimic as a familiar

- a bandit tries to take your backpack. your backpack tries to take their hand.

- you've been imprisoned and have none of your belongings. In retaliation to the guard denying you food, you spit your gold tooth out at him, watching its shape ripple in its flight. For some reason, you walk free the same day...

- your foe knocks your trusty blade out of your hand and knocks you prone, pinning you to the ground. they raise their axe to strike you dead, but their wrist is caught by a length of hemp cord snaking out of your belongings, holding your adversary back just long enough for you to scramble free.
