when you introduce a new villain and make him have an affair with a gay character purely for drama and they have a toxic stressful relationship to the point that it that triggers said gay characters history of self harm and is explicitly compared to an abusive relationship but the people with slash shipping brain rot have made it popular so you can’t kill the villain off like you planned and have to redeem him from things that are irredeemable and you throw incest and csa survivors under the bus to do it. when you do all that.

when you introduce a character whose entire personality is made up of biphobic stereotypes with an added heaping of narcissism and the fans hail him as their bi trash baby so you make him the only character on the show to identify out loud as bisexual
