hi. i’m not making this post for myself but for my best friends mom, shannah, who is going through a lot right now and i want to try and help her as much as i can. she is literally my second mom and i haven’t known life without her.
within the past few months a lot has happened in her life and she has lost a lot of money. to begin with her and her husband divorced and he has tried to take control of most of the money they had together, even though she was the one who made most of it. between all the legal troubles and lawyers and just the unfair treatment overall she has suffered a lot mentally and money wise. the stress of this divorce has put a lot of pressure and stress on her especially since she’s the one primarily taking care of her daughter who’s been my best friend since i could walk.
a couple months ago she was scammed and lost about $40,000. the bank and FBI still have yet to track down who scammed her and she has not and very possibly will not see that money again.
because of corona she is unable to work and make money and try to slowly remake the money she has lost. she is a yoga instructor and all of her workplaces have been and will stay shut down for weeks/months.
it’s so hard seeing the people you love struggle and if anyone deserves to be happy and care free it’s her. like i said before she is literally my second mom. if i ever needed anything i know she would be there for me and i want to do the same. my mom and my family as a whole have been by her side through everything and it’s been incredibly hard to watch her go through this and watch her put on a brave, “everything is okay” face for her daughter everyday. she never puts herself first even when she truly needs to. i know she would never ask for help herself so i’m making this post for her to try and help her. if there is anyway you think you can help shannah please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. thank you so much.
