soo in my the magnus archives x disco elysium au, it’s mostly tma with the mechanics and style of disco elysium? basically the au goes post-coma jon has amnesia and gets the skills. the skills are basically like its me boy the ps5 speaking to you from inside your brain but the fears. it’s set up in a 3 x 5, like how the de skills are a 4 x 6. theres the knowledge-based skills (eye, spiral, web, stranger, dark) the physical-based skills (slaughter, hunt, flesh, desolation, corruption) and the existential-based skills (end, buried, vast, lonely, extinction). theyre also more loosely organized into columns, but thats a more internal organization thing. what IS important here is that the dark, the desolation, and the lonely are all part of one column thats basically “removal”. while martin is Lonely, he’s associated with the Desolation BECAUSE,,,, (drumroll) he gets dora’d! the agnes-dolores association i was talking in my prev post abt this au is important here. my design for agnes looks a fair amount like my martin (semi-curly/wavy ginger hair, lots of freckles, a bit baby faced) and in canon martin is compared to agnes by jon in their roles as “chosen ones” (i feel like martin gets erased from this role in fandom discussions and like,, fair but also i think it adds important context to season4 and 5) so. dora him up! he serves functionally as jon’s ex-something, just with a happier* ending. i think the range of my tma x de au is just season 4, if only because handling the eyepocalypse is a bit out of scope for disco elysium’s structuring which i am following. anyway. because of this agnes-martin association, martin’s canon desolation tendencies get amped up :-) ! his Loneliness is colored by Desolation, in that in the crossover his relationships get destroyed rather than slowly fading away. honestly the overlaps between fears is rlly underutilized in fandom,,, more people should get on this,,,,,,,

i need to daisy post,,,, auhh shes so fucking INTERESTING !!! what forever gets me about her is how she gets worse as she gets better. like. she has to starve herself in order to not fall into the Hunt. shes only able to claw her way out of the Hunt because she was BURIED IN A COFFIN FOR LIKE SIX+ MONTHS??? i dont know how long it is between jon waking up and him getting daisy but like…. christ… and it’s also like. she forces herself to take accountability for the bad shit she did and shes kind of pushed away from that by the people around her!! like martin makes a point of saying “it wasnt you though” about her interrogating him and basira says that “she didn’t know what she was doing” (TO JON, WHO WAS NEARLY KILLED BY HER, BY THE WAY). shes given every avenue to escape the guilt and she DOESNT. AUGHHHH. jon anddaish parallels kill me foreverr,,

i really am a predictable man* because agnes montague and dolores dei have me in a chokehold rn… like theyre so. Okay i have this TMA x Disco Elysium crossover in my head and like. i think agnes montague would have been an innocence. i truly think so. i mean flavored with the Fear of Desolation of course. frankly dolores dei is very desolationy to me. like. idk i feel like the desolation is tied to progress (one of its biggest manifestations is industry) and dolores’s whole thing is progress? like thats why shes killed. PLUS the glowing lungs thingy. from gertrude: “lungs burning you from the inside out” about her ritual tying her to agnes. CAN ANYONE HEAR ME.
