I wanna play a Lancer piloting a mech that looks like a four armed gundam made from the parts of scrapped shipping vessels.
isn't that like half the IPS-N catalogue?
sort of a meandering thought more than anything, but one downside of moodboard-aesthetic subcultures having so much presence online (applies to punk obviously, but I was thinking about electronic music adjacencies here) is that there isn't really an "in" to a scene if there's no way to enter it with something people already within it want from you, and that probably has something to do with people kinda spinning their wheels and feeling miserable about not knowing how to meet friends with shared interests
like in an ideal world all anyone wants from you is your presence and they don't mean anything untoward by it, but in the material world, whether virtual or physical, "we are in possession of music that we know the other person would like to hear" is just such a powerful and immediate bonding point, and you really do see the difference in communities where shared interests facilitate often literal exchange between people
fandom as a social organisation vector is an obvious method for getting around that, but you also see it reflected within it, where the most readily available shared interests don't facilitate a lot of friendmaking, but things like "needing speakers of three languages to produce cross-referenced translations of print-only material" end up forming decades-long microculture
Happy Imperishable Day, everyone!
It's 8/8 in the 8th year of the Reiwa period, so why not celebr-eight with Touhou 8?
i have not played Imperishable Night in a while

Byakuren isnât my all time favorite Touhou character but man her theme is great all the same.
there's a reason that with all that Touhou music and all the covers of it, I can identify Demetori's arrangement of Cosmic Mind from literally just its first note. the original (and especially that cover) are really up there.
I love my job, but reblogging employment jelly for someone else I love.
I need a job that doesnât suck for my joints⊠and maybe has air conditioning.
Thank you employment jelly!!!
fuck it, can't hurt. I got a career change coming up, because being a chef pays shit but at least I get to work long hours every weekend with no benefits.
