This will forever be one of my favourite clips of all time. It’s veteran director, choreographer, actors and all round legend Lau Kar Leung demonstrating exactly how to choreograph a fight. Granted, it’s all staged, but it’s a small peek into the man’s process and how exactly he choreographed all his iconic films. He always understood body movement and how tight and precise each move had to be. Watch when he explains how that second tiger claw needs to pivot, knock the other guy’s hand out of the way and then strike. He does it in such a small but cool-as-shit way. By the way, the blonde haired guy is Lau Kar Leung’s real-life Hung Gar student, Mark Houghton. He’s single-handedly carrying on the Lau family lineage of Hung Gar.
I’d pay a heft chunk of cash to watch this if it was a full-length documentary. Sadly, this is the only clip that has surfaced.

Being a martial artist isn’t always about the equipment you use. It’s about the knowledge, the dedication and the commitment. You don’t need an expensive gym to go to. You just need a body and the willingness to learn.

Kung Fu Cub Twins
The playfighting moves of these two snow leopard cubs show why generations of kung fu masters have taken the animals as inspiration for their boxing skills.
