the other day I saw a comment in a youtube video that was basically like "joe mazzello was great in his portrayal of eugene sledge, I just wish he'd gone for a southern accent" and it literally made me go Excuse me did you skip this scene entirely ?
liebgott has to be one of the most interesting portrayals in band of brothers. very of the first scenes are of him antagonizing the other companies and calling out guarnere, and yet he’s one of a few people we see visibly cry in the show. he has to be explicitly told to not harm the POWs only episodes after we see him hold an injured tipper closely in an effort to calm him down. he readily aids in finding the man who shot grant but cannot look at the violence that befalls him once caught. he loves to read comics and fidget and is interested in what webster studied and is just so fascinating
