i think what i find personally so motivating about winnix is the sheer amount of love that bleeds through everything dick winters ever said about nix. he was his best friend and his closest confidant, he can’t remember going anywhere nix wouldn’t, when nix left he felt like a lovesick swab, he told him “I am always glad when the astronauts are safely back to earth, so I would appreciate a call”, he gave nix’s eulogy. the continued devotion of dick winters is evident in the beautiful commemoration of his friend.
