Vampire. 2,223. A little bit odd.

Griffin definitely liked this one, the mistress’ fingers in his hair incredibly nice and relaxing. “Life is a lot of things, but there’s things to be happy about from time to time. I do. I try to find the happy moments, like this one. I avoid misery at all times.”

“I’m glad, darling.” Audrey said, “I’d hate to think of you always being miserable. You’re far too sweet for that fate.” The vampire leaned in to kiss his temple lightly before leaning back against the edge of the tub. “And I’m glad I can provide you with a happy moment.”

Griffin shrugged, waving dismissively. “No reason for you to apologize.  The slave culture in that town was different than here.  Master’s didn’t want to break us in themselves so there were training places for us. Just how it worked.  A part of the system is all.”  He sighed, stretching a little before looking back at her.  “You look.  I’m gonna guess you look too hard at things sometimes too.  If that makes sense.  Do you let yourself be happy alot?  If you don’t mind the personal question miss.”

“I didn’t always look.” Audrey confessed, “I suppose I may overcompensate now at times.” The vampire offered him a soft smile in response to his question, stroking damp fingers through his hair affectionately. “I don’t mind. And I guess I don’t really, darling. It’s somewhat complicated. My life has been a lot of things... Do you allow yourself to be happy often, darling?”

“I’m just well trained..” Griffin looked at her fully, something about the woman making him feel for her. “I’ve been trained to see and anticipate a persons needs, and brainwashed and beaten till I could mindlessly and wholeheartedly sate those needs. I’m better now, more myself than ever, but I still have the knowledge. You’re…you seem lonely. But I can tell you are careful about how you fill that void. But anyone can see wealth doesn’t help anything but comfort.”

The knowledge of his history made her want to be even more careful with him. Audrey continued idly playing with his hair, not entirely sure how to respond to everything he’d said. It was somewhat confronting, even though she hadn’t been cryptic either about her own loneliness. “I’m sorry someone saw the need to put you through so much darling.” Audrey wasn’t without blame, she participated in this system but she didn’t agree with what he’d been through. “Perhaps anyone could see it, but there are many who refuse to really look.”

Wayland lifted a hand to her jaw gently, letting his thumb caress her skin a bit before he bent to kiss her gently.  He treasured any moment someone deliberately chose him, even if he didn’t ever truly accept that he deserved it.  Breaking the kiss slowly, he murmured.  “Of course I’m interested Audrey.  I’d be..well, I’d be honored. Even if that is a weird way of saying yes…”

Letting herself be so emotion driven with him probably should have felt more dangerous. Instead she let them have the moment. It was the privacy of her home and she actually trusted Wayland. Maybe it was foolish but he made her feel... alive. So she kissed him back, with a soft sound of pleasure and leaned into him a little. When their lips parted, she smiled at his answer. “I’m glad. And honoured too, Wayland.”

Griffin couldn’t remember being this at ease with a mistress in a long time, his finder aimlessly drawing patterns into her skin as he looked at her and she messed with his hair.  “I can’t say I’d ever call myself wise miss.  I simply know the wealthiest masters always seem the most lonely or angry.”

He had no idea how close to home he’d hit. Audrey was both very wealthy, and desperately lonely. The small intimacies like this meant a lot to her. Of course, she probably dealt with the loneliness in a very different way than many of her counterparts. “I would call you wise though, darling.” She told him, “Some of us accrue money in the hopes it fills the emptiness. It doesn’t. But most of us can’t admit to any emptiness either.”

Wayland studied her curiously as she spoke, admittedly unsure why she was telling him this at first.  “Okay….oh.”  He blushed softly, though his eyes didn’t leave hers as he carefully took her hand in his own.  “To ensure I understand you….you want to end this period of celibacy with me?  You…want me enough for that?”

Audrey squeezed his hand lightly, feeling almost exposed as she had when she was being turned. “Darling, I want you enough for more than that. But I can only have so much of you. So yes, if you’re interested, I would like to end this period of celibacy with you. Very much.”

Griffin gave her what she wanted, the warlock leaning into her gently and relaxing easily with her touches.  “That is what I hear.  Though I doubt it can make anyone happy yet.” 

“Very true, darling. The happiness it buys is... skin deep. Very superficial.” Audrey wrapped an arm around him while she began playing with his hair with her free hand. “The wise ones understand that.”

Griffin let out a breath as she reassured him, the slave giving her a shy smile.  “Alright miss.  Thank you.” He trusted this mistress had no intention of hurting him, but he still wanted to defer and not cross any lines, the desire to please her a deep one as he both liked her and had been trained heavily to do so.  Slipping into the tub after her, he gave her a smile and commented lightly.  “You really do have a nice bath miss.  Not often you can fit two comfortably in a bathtub.”

“Money can buy you a lot of things.” Audrey murmured, putting both hands on his shoulder and smoothing along them before kneading at the muscle lightly. “You can lean into me if you like.” After all, she craved the intimacy. She worked her fingers up the back of his neck as well, getting the fine hairs at the base of his neck wet. Reaching behind her, she pushed a button to turn on the jets and gave a little hum as they powered up.

Wayland made no further comment and just let her lead him into the bathroom,  her light touch soothing despite the shame he’d likely always feel whenever someone looked at his scars.  Except maybe Tobias, the demon’s appreciation for them and the pain they represent helping ease that upset.  But he looked at her seriously when she spoke, his voice soft.  “Of course Audrey.”

She kissed his shoulder lightly before looking up at him, “I haven’t had sex – the penetrative kind, anyway – in hundreds of years darling.” Audrey admitted. “After I walked away from my maker, there wasn’t another who I felt could fill that void.” The vampire was probably less carnal than many of her counterparts, having fought to be more connected with her old self and her emotions. “But here you are, darling.” She hoped it was enough of a lead in that he understood what she was talking about – and perhaps he would connect it to what she had mentioned considering when they were downstairs.

“I’m perfectly happy with either miss. Whichever would be more pleasing and comfortable for you.” The answer came easily, though for once he actually mean it.  Taking off his clothes, Griffin didn’t hesitate or hide anything, his body deceitfully unmarked as his training had included his teachers healing up all the injuries they inflicted before going at him again.  Turning to face her he smiled, rubbing the back of his neck and keeping his eyes on her face.  He knew not to let his eyes wander where they may not actually be allowed.

“Relax, darling.” She coached him, “You can look. And you can touch if you feel so inclined.” Audrey slipped out of the dress, naked beneath the single layer as usual. Hanging it over an empty towel rack, she returned her attention to him. After a moment of quiet decision, she stepped into the tub and eased herself down into the water with a sigh. “Join me?”

Wayland met her eyes, though not for long before he had to look away.  He couldn’t possibly be worth so much.  He was useless, and she just endlessly kind.  Daring to kiss her cheek, he gave her another soft smile. “Thanks Audrey.  You’re too kind.”

Audrey kissed his cheek in return, with a small but affectionate nuzzle. “Hardly, darling.” She said softly, but knowing they would go in circles she let it go – for now. Instead she continued them on their way, into her bathroom where she reached to turn the shower on. Then she turned to start easing him out of his clothes, fingers tracing over his form as she did. It was soothing (or attempting to be) and more affection that she wanted to show him. It was growing more personal. “Can I confess something, darling?”

Her kisses really were quite distracting, following behind her once she tugged him and listening to her with some shock.  “i lessen an empty feeling?”  He himself was an empty shell, full of rejection and sorrow, but if that was what she wanted to let fill some of her void he wouldn’t object.  “You do so much for me I…I simply wish I could return the favor in a more meaningful way.”

She paused on the stairs, although she took a step up to be on level with him, “Darling – this is meaningful. I know it’s not really tangible, something for you to see what you’re doing but.. Lessening a void that’s hundreds of years old – I daresay even thousands of years old – you easily return anything I give you. More than.” It made her wish she could offer more. But she was probably already being far too honest with him. It was dangerous to let herself feel this way, but she kept flirting with the danger anyway.

“Alright, as long as you’re sure.”  Griffin gave her a soft smile before he looked through her soaps and things, finding a fresh, clean mint sort of scent and bringing that back.  “How’s this one?  And thank you, again, for your kindness miss.”

“Perfect, darling.” She assured him, before lightly kissing his cheek. “You’re welcome.” Audrey took the scent, reaching to tip some into the water and watching the bubbles erupt. Straightening up from leaning over the tub, the vampire reached back to start unzipping her dress. “Would you prefer to sit behind me or in front of me, darling?”

Wayland easily returned her kiss, looking at her as she began speaking.  Something about her soothed him, made him want to believe he was worth someone’s time.  As she spoke his brow furrowed, unsure what it was she could be considering.  After all, he wasn’t hers.  “I..it does.  But the feelings are yours….I’ve no right to challenge them even if I am rather…shocked by them.  But sure….explanations can wait..”

Another squeeze of his hand. Audrey kissed him lightly again too, before tugging him along towards the stairs. “I don’t know if I can explain why I feel the way I do, darling – not enough to really make you understand. I just know that there’s an emptiness inside me, that I’ve had for a very long time.. and it lessens with you. Don’t ever feel as though there’s nothing you can give me because really... you give me quite a lot.” It wasn’t the explanation of what she was considering but it was a strikingly honest assessment of how he made her feel.

“Of course you can bathe with me Miss, I don’t mind.  I’ve not been shy being naked for a long time, though I still blush sometimes a little.  I simply don’t want to be a hassle….you’ve been kinder than most already, I wouldn’t want to take advantage.”  Griffin blushed a little before sliding his arm in hers and moving with her to her room and bathroom, his eyes not wandering from the woman’s face

“Darling, I know when I’m being taken advantage of and you are not doing it. You’re also not a hassle.” Audrey released his arm when they reached the bathroom, humming faintly. “Perhaps you’d like to choose a scent, darling? I’ll start the water running.”

Wayland just sighed, mystified why the woman bothered about him so much.  He’d nothing to offer her, and she could gain nothing from him that other slaves couldn’t give too.  Walking with her towards her home, the human kept his eyes on her, just watching her move as if that could help him solve why she cared about him.

She could feel his eyes on her, and she knew he didn’t really understand her. Given that she hardly understood herself, that was fine. Once the door was closed behind them, she paused and smiled gently at Wayland, leaning in for a kiss. “It confuses you, I know. But you mean something to me, darling. I realise how rare that is but it’s true. I’m even considering..” She trailed off for a moment before squeezing his hand, “I’m getting ahead of myself. I’ll explain after you’ve had a chance to refresh yourself.”

Griffin ate when he was served quietly and neatly, the warlock having impeccable manners whether they were demanded of him or no.  It felt weird, being served by a Mistress, but he was appreciative, thanking her profusely before she offered him a chance to get clean.  “I…I’m gonna have to say bath.  It’s been awhile since I’ve had one of those…if it’s alright miss.  I can draw my own bath if you point me in the right direction.  I wouldn’t want to be an inconvenience when you’ve not even asked anything of me yet.”

“One of the first things you’re going to learn about me today, darling, is that I enjoy intimacy. And if you prefer to bathe alone, I won’t pressure you to allow me to join you but I would quite like to be in there with you – and I certainly don’t mind drawing it. But if you would feel better preparing it, I’ll lead the way. You are no inconvenience.” Audrey promised him with a smile. The vampire linked their arms again before leading him through the house, up to her room and through to the ensuite.
