Deal with it.” He went to take another long sip, before remembering he’d already finished his drink. “I can deal with for now.” Jason smiled widely, leaning against her a little. He shrugged. “You made faces at me mentioning Di and Alexis, thought I’d bring up someone I don’t exactly like you hanging round with. Tit for tat.”

“I’m aware, Jason.” Her tongue brushed between her lips, focusing on the taste of the residue the tea left instead of the actual conversation. Discussing emotions was a hard line for Talia to cross. She took another sip of the tea before letting her gaze wander back toward him. “Why in the world would you disapprove of me hanging out with him?”

"Mmm." He hummed, fingertips dancing across her thigh. "Because you seem like maybe you aren't, Talia." Jason turned to look at her carefully. "I'm no good at the mushy stuff, you know that. I just need you to know that I wanna be here." He shrugged. "Don't like the idea of competition for your attention. Not like I'm gonna try to stop you from seeing him, though."
