Some domestic bliss harmony
Sometimes I have a feeling that colour just ruins it.
But I made a mistake here and added colour for books directly to lineart instead under the library layer. So I'm stuck with shades of gray 🩶
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1: Stills (2010)
We really should have gotten a kiss in the dance scene.
I really wished this scene happened.
This is what Ron should have walked in on.
Whenever I have debates with canon shippers and I bring up things JKR has said on the subject of Harmione, they assume I’m some kind of hypocrite for cherry picking JKR quotes for my Harmione agenda and ignoring other quotes that contradict the quotes I usually use from her, like Ron and Hermione making their relationship work because marriage counseling/couples therapy and saying that Harry and Ginny are soulmates and that Ginny is the ideal girl for Harry.
But here’s the thing with those quotes: they aren’t supported in canon. We don’t even know therapy exists in the Wizarding world, and we know Harry damn well didn’t get any even he needed some badly throughout the series.
Ginny and Harry being soulmates in canon. Soulmates aren’t even a recognized thing in canon. And the vibe I get from them doesn’t exactly resonate with being “soulmates”.
This whole thing was brought to my attention when this Hinny shipper and I were trading off what JKR had said about certain things which ultimately led to nothing. So, in conclusion, when using JKR quotes for my own “agenda” and “ignoring” JKR quotes that contradict the quotes I use, I think about them, and ask myself “Is this supported in the books”? That’s what it comes down to.
The hatred towards Harmony (Harry x Hermione) makes me love it even more. Thanks guys!
If over analyzing Harmione scenes is triggering canon shippers, then we must be doing something right 😂
It says a lot about Harry and Hermione’s relationship that Dumbledore counted solely on Hermione to slow him down.
Who else would he listen and trust so deeply if not Hermione. She’s probably the only one who could temper his instinctive, sometimes reckless, drive to act. Dumbledore understood that Harry’s strength was also his weakness, his fierce loyalty, his instinct to protect, and his refusal to back down could easily lead him into danger without a second thought. Hermione, with her careful reasoning, deep knowledge, and unflinching loyalty of her own, was the perfect counterbalance.
Hermione is not just Harry's friend, she is his anchor. While Harry leads with his heart, Hermione brings foresight and caution. She doesn’t seek to control him, but to steady him. Time and again, she challenges him to think, to plan, to consider consequences. And Harry, for his part, recognizes and deeply values this about her.
Just as Hermione grounded Harry, Harry taught Hermione to be brave, to trust her heart, even when the facts were uncertain.
In their early years at Hogwarts, Hermione clung to rules, books, structure and knowledge was her safety. But Harry, by nature, was always willing to leap into danger when someone needed help. Over time, Hermione learned that bravery sometimes meant stepping into the unknown, even without all the answers. As she once said, "Books! And cleverness! There are more important things — friendship and bravery."
That lesson came from Harry.

are you ok?? is this hate mail for shipping hhr? lol.
I don’t think I’ve ever posted anything Harry x Hermione related on Tumblr. But I’m going to anyways. I’ve loved this ship since I was five years old and I’ve always preferred them over Romione and Hinny. No shame to the ship, I never liked Romione and Hinny. But I love the way Harry and Hermione look. Plus they remind me of Percabeth.
Harry finding Hermione “ugly”
If Harry found Hermione annoying, why is he spending his evening with her?
The other day, I saw someone on Reddit note how Harry and Hermione use each other's wands.
It is wild to me that in the very first book - the same book where Olivander introduces us to the fated nature of Harry's wand and it being the brother wand to Voldemort's - Hermione casually takes Harry's wand to cast alohomora during their chase after the stone.
And, as reddit also pointed out, stark contrasts are drawn between the blackthorn wand that Ron gives Harry and Hermione's wand. Harry isn't noted to struggle to cast spells with Hermione's wand - he effortlessly casts a shield charm in fact. He certainly struggles with the blackthorn wand. And this is in Deathly Hallows, the other book where wand lore is presented by Olivander.
So, we have Harry commenting actively on how the blackthorn wand doesn't work well. But even before that, Ron struggled with a hand-me-down wand, and the books emphasize that wands are mercurial in a way. Harry is successful with Draco's wand because he overcame Draco. He can wield the Elder wand for a similar wand-lore reasons. Voldemort is shown using a variety of wands, but they aren't ideal and he is constantly seeking the right wand to defeat Harry.
But Harry and Hermione wield each other's wands without trouble from the get-go.
There's a few places in the books where magic is implied to signal underlying compatibility. James and Lily's patronuses are the obvious example. So it feels meaningful (though certainly unintentional) that Harry and Hermione - who have very different wands - are evidenced to use each other's wands without issue.
Particularly, it seems odd that Hermione can use Harry's wand so readily when Harry's wand is one of the most deeply magical in the series. Of all the wands we meet, the three most magically special in the series are the Elder Wand, Voldemort's, and Harry's.
So this girl who is in no way tied (other than her deep affection for Harry) to that entire deal can just use Harry's very magical wand? Really?
Just feels like another moment where the story knew what it wanted to be before it was contorted into what it became.
I think Harry and Hermione is my guilty pleasure. I can’t help it.
Harry is the rich Quidditch captain who’s always in detention and king of comebacks, the leader of the group, and has zero respect for rules and authority and is a human bullshit detector and is the king of psychological warfare and planning on his feet who splurges on his friends and has every girl drooling and a powerful temper.
Hermione follows, or at least tries to follow the rules, a total bookworm and gets frustrated when things aren’t done the proper way but is endlessly loyal and supportive, the true definitely of ride-or-die, and is a well of knowledge but is also vindictive, prideful and vengeful and basically mothers people.
They’re both equally ruthless little shits, co-conspirators who can make connections. Harry would punch out and sass anyone who comes for Hermione (or himself) and Hermione is the one to calm Harry down and reign Harry in. Hermione has all the facts and can plan things out and pulls out these genius solutions and reprimand Harry to snarking a teacher (but she secretly loves it) and Harry is the one to mind fuck literally anyone to get information and invent genius plans under pressure and yell for all the idiots on his team to get in line.
They truly do embody the bad boy popular jock x nerdy good girl trope. Ugh they had so much potential.
