“Fuck me, that’s bright.” James laughed, gently tugging at a strand of the blue hair that hung from her head.

“ is my hair blue enough ? “ gabrielle smiled brightly at the person next to her, “ honestly , my mum thinks i’m crazy for these colors ! “
“Fuck me, that’s bright.” James laughed, gently tugging at a strand of the blue hair that hung from her head.
‘ oh shit. im so sorry. i didnt mean to bump into you. ‘
“It’s all right, love. Don’t worry about it.”
“If anybody asks, you didn’t see anything.”
“That’s kind of the mantra that I live my life by, Hookum.” James replied, cocking his head to the side a little. “What is it that you’re doing, anyway?”
“no, that’d mean i’d be the worst one out of the two of us and i most certainly don’t want to be.” she teased, shaking her head in amusement as he bowed at her. “oh right, that’s definitely were lily wants to be. no wait, i think it actually is. she just needs to stop dying everything. right, yeah.” her tone and smile had left by the time remus had been mentioned, her whole body shutting down slightly at the fact. “no, she definitely didn’t take me back. oh i don’t know, nothing scary hopefully.”
“Oh come on now, Mare. You can be worse than me, and you know it.” James smiled broadly back at the woman, the teasing tone never faltering in his voice. He feigned a look of pain on his face when she commented about Lily not wanting to be in his arms, and then he pouted. “That’s just mean, Macdonald. You know as well as I that she loves me deep down, she just hasn’t admitted it to herself yet.” However, after a moment he noticed the change in her demeanour, and he shifted a little closer, draping his arm around her shoulder. “You all right?”
“Oh, I vividly remember just how drunk you got last night, it was hands down one of the most hilarious things I’ve witnessed. I’m still cringing over some of the things you said to Lil.”
“I don’t feel like I said anything too bad! I mean, the woman has to know how much I like her, right? And when better to tell her than when all of my inhibitions are lowered and my common sense is gone?”
“Learned it from you,” The wolf said with a grin, catching his mate’s finger and shoving him back. Remus rolled his eyes, unsurprised by now at his fellow Gryffindor’s haughty tone. “Join the club mate. I feel proper shit.”
“Yeah, you look it too.” James teased, cocking his head to the side to look at one of his best friends. “Why are you feeling shit, anyway?
Esme tried to keep a scolding look on her features, but it was growing incredibly harder by the second as she stood there with her arms crossed, her lips puckered so as to keep from smiling. “Love,” she began, clearly mocking him. “I’m not the only one who found more than one fault in that sentence, right?” She inquired knowingly, finally allowing a smirk to tug her lips upwards.
“Me? Making a fault in my words? I think you’re mistaken, love.” James continued to taunt her with the word, the smirk never falling from his lips, especially with the way that she was grinning too. “You missed out on a good night though, Es. Next time, don’t be such a goody-two-shoes and come drinking with me.”
“Future Wife?” Lily repeated with a slight joking eye roll. “Someone’s getting a bit full of themselves..”
“Would I be me if I wasn’t full of myself, and didn’t radiate awesomness?” James grinned in the red-head’s direction.
“Sorry.” Auggie said. “I just… didn’t want you to get in trouble.”
“Who’s gonna’ punish me, mate?” James gestured out with his arms. “I’m Head Boy, and Minnie loves me.”
Esme made a playful face at the male as he swatted her hand away, and took to crossing her arms across her chest while continuing to look at the helmet in bemusement. “I’ll keep an eye out.” She stated. “But I see someone had fun last night. And without me. Now I’m a little offended I was left out and stuck doing homework while you and others clearly went out and assaulted a poor suit of armour.” She said, unable to keep the teasing from her voice.
“Love,” James began, a smirk creeping onto his lips, “you had to stay in and do your homework. How would it look if someone like me, the Head Boy, started corrupting someone like you, a good student who wants to stay in on a school night and finish her Charms work, mhm?” He teased the brunette back, gently nudging her with his elbow.
mary was glad that she could remember some of last night, that she didn’t have that much confusion about it. “that’s terrible, i mean, you were a mess. maybe lily took you back, in fact, she wouldn’t have let you take that. however, i don’t remember getting to bed either and i woke up there.” she had no idea what had happened a large number of the night but she definitely knew she didn’t see james with a helmet.
“Ah, but would I be me if I didn’t get messed up completely now, would I?” James laughed, tilting his helmet a little as he took a bow. “Nah, I don’t think it was Evans. If it was, she would have ended up in my bed curled up in my arms, where she so desperately wants to be. It was probably the mother of our group, good old Rem.” He let out a small chuckle. “I bet she took you back, you dirty little stop out you. Hanging around with boys like me in the middle of the night. What are we going to do with you?”
“And that’s our head boy ladies and gentleman.” Lily laughed.
“And here’s my future wife. Better get used to my awesomeness, Evans.” James smirked over at her, before shooting a cheeky wink in the red-head’s direction.
“It looks rather shit, mate.” Remus said, collapsing on his friend’s bed. He buried his head in the pillows before turning over and assessing the damage done to James from the night before. “Come to think of it, so do you.”
“Don’t be a dick, Remus.” James flopped down onto his bed next to Remus, jabbing him in the side. Leaning back after a moment, he closed his eyes, relishing in the relief that it gave him. “I don’t look bad -- I never look bad. I just feel bad.”
“It is an…. yeah, completely.” Auggie said, staring at the other student. “Uh. Is it dress code though? I mean, it’s not really like the pointed hats?”
“Oh come on now.” James groaned a little, dropping his head back. “It’s just a little bit of fun, mate.”
“I’m going to assume that it wasn’t yours to begin with?” She inquired, nudging at the helmet with her index finger.
James laughed a little as he leaned back, swatting the girl’s hand away playfully. “I think it came from one of the suits of armour on the fourth floor, but I can’t be sure. Let me know if you see one with a missing helmet, yeah?”
“well, if it’s anything to go by how much i remember, you might have been more wasted than me. i will admit, i’m loving the helmet.”
James grinned over at the brunette. “Oh, I was fully gone. I can’t remember getting back to my room, let along getting this along the way.” He replied, flicking the helmet on his head lightly, then wincing at the echo it made around his slightly aching head.
“Okay, so, I’m not sure how drunk I got last night, but this helmet ended up in my dorm. I think it looks bloody awesome though, don’t you agree?”
