I feel like he's always holed up in his room and comes out to eat the bare minimum. His coffee machine is god's strongest soldier for working so long and making so much of the strongest slop known to man, though sometimes Victor will pour instant coffee into his mug, microwave it with some water, and call it a day.
You can see how exhausted he is whenever he comes back to your shared dorm. Usually, if he's not passed out dead in his room, he's "resting his eyes" on the couch with an audio recorder, his binder, and loose notes scattered all across the coffee table in barely legible handwriting. He's a light sleeper whenever he's passed out in the living room and will usually wake up if you so much as speak, startling awake and staring at you, bleary-eyed. He'll profusely insist that you don't help him gather up his stuff and half-assedly try to organize his stuff before dragging his ass to his room.
Overall, he's not a terrible roommate. He keeps his room relatively clean except for the spare sock on the floor or some balled-up paper that missed the trash. His room stinks of coffee, some kind of food item you can't quite place and it smells like the window hasn't been opened in a while. He'll ask that you keep the rest of the dorm clean and organize everything but don't you dare change anything or its placement.
A firm believer that this man is autistic in some capacity and lives off of his favorite autism chow and usually passes up whatever you cook for the same damn meal and retreats to his room. Though he'll eat whatever you make if there's no other option or if it looks like it would appeal to him. (probably a little picky bc of some textures) I think he's a slow ass eater and takes forever to finish anything he eats unless it's the same food he eats daily, then that shit is gone as soon as he touches it.
Depending on your major, you become his lab partner inadvertently, and he will talk to you in terms that fly over your head and explain only bits and pieces. (think Pinky and the Brain) If you're in any kind of biology or anything regarding that kind of subject, you two can bounce ideas off each other and pass out on the couch together, though if you snore in your sleep, Victor will wake up and leave you for his bed, sorry.
Though if you aren't, say, art or anything unrelated to science, he'll either not bother at all or ask you to listen to him recite a presentation and give your opinion on it. (The more notes and constructive criticism you have, the more he appreciates it.) This also means he probably has tried to convince you to be his lab rat for some of his early-stage theories, though nothing invasive. But you probably came out of that experience with a new opinion about your weird-ass roommate, though you figure it comes with the territory.
The longer you two live together, the more he'll come out and share more stuff with you. Here is where you'll find that he has a mild fascination with evolution, and you can tease him about being the next Charles Darwin, which he'll honestly take as a compliment.
The more you let him talk to you about his studies, the more often you'll see him around. He'll even come into your room and share the same space while listening to the audio recording he took of his lecture that day, while you study or do whatever, so long as it's quiet.
And after a while, Victor finds a lot of comfort in you and will allow some cuddling or sitting close together if he's not overstimulated. He'll be rather affectionate, though he finds himself embarrassed when he finally realizes what he's doing. Though I imagine he's too touch-starved to really shy away from a long hug if you're offering it, it doesn't mean he won't hesitate or question why you're doing it.
Though if physical affection becomes a regular thing between you two, he'll definitely feel his imagination slip. As much as he knows better, the way your nipples poke through your shirts in the morning while you get coffee, or how your legs look so good in shorts when you lie on your bed and let him occupy your desk for a while.
He hasn't been this pent up before, and he feels so god-awful for thinking about his nice roommate, who has been nothing but understanding and listening to him, no matter how weird or strange he is or his theories.
And yet he can't help but borrow your perfume when he says he has a job interview and he wants to present himself, though in the end he spritzes his jacket and refuses to take it off all day, drinking in that perfect scent that makes him so high.
The worst of it is when he's in bed, burying his face into the spare blanket he borrowed from your bed since the coin slot in the campus dryer is jammed, leaving his blankets and his bedding to air dry on the balcony
