#1 My Father and I

My Father and I have been separated for many years. He would call me when he was drunk, in Cali or whenever he could make a free phone call, usually around 2 am. 

One day, the Holy Spirit was talking to me and told me to go see my dad. I did not think anything of it at the time, but i was a little nervous. My father and I are estranged and taking the initiative - by the Holy Spirit was a big step for me.

Reality holds a type of grittiness to it. Potentially because sometimes, there are things that happen that seem to be outside of what we have accepted as real.

- the combination of documentary and puppet reenactments - high quality interviews with low-fi puppetry - a film that knows it is a film - tells on itself - well blend of experiences/ the science/ and personal scripted story - not every story was recreated - puppetry and airy musicals combined created a fantastical world for each story to be presented

A joke from Siri/ The Interaction

“The past, present and future walk into a bar. It was tense.”

What would it be like if ourselves as we know us as well as our childhood and future self sat down for a chat? What would they discuss? Would each self be pleased with our so far achievements or be disgusted/ sympathetic toward our misfortunes/ failures?

What jokes, tip and cautions would they share? Would we head to the warnings of the future or be haunted by our past? Who would we please? When does trying to satisfy the needs of the one hinder our own current development? When trying to listen to all of ourselves, when does it make sense for us to do what is best for us. These are all questions that come into play as the worrisome Mr. Charles Risely struggles to find peace in himself and harmonize with his selves.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you The Interaction.   A mocumentary film that follows a young man as he tries to balance pleasing his younger and older self.
