I cannot tell you how much I dislike this man. He's paid by the club, AND I'd very much appreciate it if he leaves Viv out of his clout chasing agendas, now that she's no longer any part of the club that pays him. Leave her name out of your mouth.

The way he talks is very obvious that he's the mouthpiece of the club and the manager.

I don’t want to be harsh cos I know she’s had an acl injury and some players aren’t the same after that but was carpenter good before that injury? Because in the games I’ve watched, including Lyon, she’s been a bit……meh. Like what’s the feeling in Australia, is she highly rated or do people feel she’s overhyped?

I feel like I'll be biased in my answer because I don't like her at all. But here's how I feel - as a player, she's average. I think even the Australian media are starting to call her out on that because The Far Post mentioned how she wouldn't track back when players exploit the spaces she left behind. They were questioning her game awareness as a multiple CL winner. But she's still Australia's big star (after Kerr) - 24 years old at her 3rd Olympics already, VC of the team, most probably future captain, a face of the team, etc. I'd say she's overhyped for sure, but only very few will openly admit she's not that good...

The fact that Trashlyn couldn't keep it in her pants while Ali's dad was literally dying in hospice (and tbh the fact that Soph W Bush couldn't say "hey your wife's dad is dying let's maybe not do this right now") makes her the lowest pos.

It’s so disappointing that this is apparently how they treat a club legend. You can grow your game, sell out the Emirates, but this is what the diehard women’s fans will remember. How they pushed out one of, if not the best, player the club has ever had. It leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

Yes, I will never forget. I know there're other people who will never forget. Even the fans are waiting for this to come back and bite them in the ass.

I have a dark theory about that. After deciding that they wanted to get rid of Viv they started doing anything to feed into the narrative that she was washed in hopes of fans not being outraged (failed for the most part) and in hopes of no too team wanting her (well see about that)

I think you may be right. They also pushed a narrative about her being hard to manage, stubborn, etc. I don't think any of that has worked because even though some have forgotten, most people remember that she has been the greatest ever, on the pitch and off the pitch.
