Self-harm is not just cutting

It seems cruel to me that so many people think that self-harm means only cutting - like if you don’t have razor scars you probably don’t have a problem. Really? There’s so many other ways in which person can hurt herself, but nobody pays attention to bruises on hands or little scratches on arms and neck made by nails. Nobody will see that the girl sitting nearby have slightly less hair than yesterday because she pulled it off or that the boy’s from next door foot is hurt really bad because he kicked wall multiple times to distract himself. Self-harm is NOT just cutting so please if you have any suspicion about sombody feeling low - pay attention (not only to wrists) and REACT. People whose pain is not easy to notice are hurting as much as everyone who has his scars on view.
