Avis remained focused as she healed the bones, her brows furrowed a bit as she tried to force down the feeling of danger she was getting from him. She knew this was foolish, knew that this could get her introduce with either her people, or with the very man she was trying to help. She couldn’t help it however, all she ever wanted to do was help others, to do what she could to lessen the bloodshed that cursed her home.
When he spoke, she looked up at him with a soft gaze. “Because, what they are doing to you isn’t right.” She admitted. “It makes me sick to know that they were putting you through this, as though your life meant nothing to them.” She kept her voice quiet, slowly getting to her feet and offering him a hand up. “Come with me, once I mend your wounds and treat the infection you undoubtedly have,I can help you return to your people.” She hoped he agreed, prayed that he did. He needed medical attention, nourishment and she could provide both.
It wouldn’t take long to reach her chambers as she knew the ins and outs of the guard’s schedules and shift changes. It would be easy enough to get him up there.

“Really?” He didn’t try too hard not to sneer it, “And where were you when they were actually doing those things that you say make you sick? Where was your compassion then as they laughed at my pain?”
He took her hand and hauled himself to his feet, his grip on her tight, keeping her his prisoner as he hissed, “And what is the price for your bleeding heart, girl? The cost of your aid? We all have a price. What do you want in return for this too-generous offer?”
His eyes glittered in the torchlight, hard and green and perhaps a quarter-mad. No one could go through pain without it leaving a mark on them. And if there was one thing Loki knew, it was pain.
The grip he had on her was a bit painful, but she forced herself to ignore it. Forced herself to remain calm. She knew why he was reacting the way he was, in fact, she was sure she would be reacting the same way if she were in his position. She couldn't imagine the pain he was in, or the pain he had gone through. It angered her, that he was forced to suffer, Asgardian or not, it wasn't fair. "I didn't know what they were doing. It may be a surprise to you, but I am normally kept out of the loop." She answered his words, keeping her gaze soft, gentle.
"As for price, I ask for none. I am doing this because I want to. Not for some form of reward. All I ask is that you let me heal you before I help you back to your home realm. That's all. No, if we are to reach the safety of my chambers before the guards come, I highly suggest we get moving." She didn't try and pull away from him, not wanting to irritate him further. "I know you have no reason to trust me, but I am speaking the truth."
