Desert Safari
DUBAI, the largest and most populous city of the UAE located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf. DUBAI is one of our favorite destination to visit, full of happenings, beautiful beaches, alluring nightlife and huge shopping malls. Weather you are visiting alone or with friends & family Dubai is a wonderful place. This amazing city is always full of tourists and sometimes it is very difficult to get a hotel reservation so it’s better to always plan your visit especially if you are visiting with kids. Although, Dubai is full of surprises where you can find the modern architecture and enormous skyline but can easily find 360-degree change from this urban lifestyle to beautiful evenings in vast desert and “DESERT SAFARI “is one of the best ways to explore Arabic Bedouin heritage.
Desert Safari is one of a Must to Do thing in Dubai. There were three options for desert safari, ‘Sunrise Safari’, ‘Sunset safari‘ and ‘Night Safari’. There are many tour companies who offers different Safari packages and We chose “Sunset safari” and and one of the picked us up around 4 Pm and soon we joined a big caravan of more than 40 LAND CRUISERS. The real fun “Dune Bashing”started as we all reached in the middle of desert. Our skilled driver gave us such a jaw dropping stunt it was real fun you feel like sitting in a roller-coaster. It was full of thrills as the expert driver could maneuver the hilly and steep desert.
We had a stop by camel farm and kids have pics with camels and then we continue to camp. When we reached at beautifully decorated camp we had camel ride and then welcome drinks were served. It was a spectacular sunset over the sand dunes…and then the party begins!
There was a man with falcon and kids loved holding falcon on gloved hand it was so sensational. The Falcons are part of Bedouin Heritage and they used falcons to hunt for food. You can have a chance to try on a dish dash and Abaya, henna tattooing and smoking some shisha while sitting in traditional dessert camps.
Then buffet dinner was served and we enjoyed the food. After food most excited part of the this trip presented with a great Tambura dancea that is a traditional dance and is very popular in middle east. It followed by beautiful & exotic Belly dance. The Belly dancer.
Tips:
1)- Dress code- Always wear something comfortable as you have to sit there on traditional carpets and cushions, no chair or sofa.
2)- Wear sandal not shoe because it’s very difficult to walk in sand with shoes and they can easily fill up with sand.
3)- Most important don’t eat much before going for safari trip as it may cause vomiting. Overall, it’s must and best recommended trip of Dubai.
Desert safari packages
To decide what type of desert safari you want depends how much you are prepared to pay, but usually these packages included:
Hotel pick-up & drop off
Falcon show
Dune bashing in a 4×4
Camel rides
Sand Boarding
Dinner with all inclusive drinks and shisha
Evening entertainment
We had real fun and enjoyed a beautiful evening in the dessert. It is quite a thrilling excursion the DESERT SAFARI a must see. If you get a chance you must give it a try, highly recommend.
