can't believe i still haven't posted about this on tumblr.

i've been working on a pretty large Stardew Valley expansion mod for a while now. i am (obviously) not an artist, but i wanted to post a screenshot of my little WIP portrait for a custom NPC - Shrumbo! 🍄

if you don't recognize him, he's a little mushroom guy from the game Ooblets! if you've never heard of it, basically all you need to know is that he's a little guy that will dance-battle other little guys for you. (i'm serious, that's the entire game)

you might also notice that you don't recognize the building he's in. & that's because he lives with another custom NPC named Madison that runs this cute little shop. i'll post more about her later ♡

so far, the mod has:

re-designed maps for most of Pelican Town

expanded dialogue for most NPCs

additional heart events for vanilla & custom NPCs

custom questlines for specific marriage candidates

yearly birthday events for certain NPCs

a new shop with an eligible bachelorette shopkeeper

a few custom items (you can see two of them in this picture)

adjusted schedules for certain NPCs (because why don't these people spend more time with their friends?)

things i'm still working on/plan to add before it's released:

a new custom farm layout (for lore purposes -- more on this later)

major expansion to one of my favorite NPCs (Linus sweetie i love you dearly)

making a proper furniture catalogue so you can actually use the things i've made, as well as the game assets i've re-designed/recolored

tweaks to custom character portraits because like i said, i'm not an artist and some off it is still a little wonky

if you've ever wondered why i'm so inconsistent with getting fanfic updates out, this is why ♡
